5 x 8 is my standard “scratch pad” size – a nice compromise for both quick notes and full sentences, to-do lists, etc. At about 30 sheets of double side rule, these are more substantial than the phone pads you see in hotel rooms or handed out at conferences, but they’re not “spiral notebook” substantial. The lines are pretty widely spaced, which is good if you want to feel less-constrained to scribble or doodle. I always thought “legal size” meant 8.5 x 14 but I’m no lawyer and was surprised to learn that 5 x 8 is known as “junior legal” and “small legal”. So there you go! Read more

I can never seem to find a pad when I need one so I was very happy to order this 6 pack. They are the perfect size for jotting down a quick note, making a shopping list, or even a to-do list. The paper separates from the pad easily without the mess of a spiral type notebook and both the binding and the printing are of excellent quality with a generous amount of space between the lines for writing. The pads are not real thick but 30 sheets is quite a bit of paper and since you get six of them you'll have plenty for a long time to come. Read more

These white page tablets are a refreshing change. I've been using yellow legal pads for quite some time. The lines on these are wide rule, giving you 18 lines per page. This allows me to write bigger, which is perfect for making a grocery list that I can see without my glasses. The pages are easy to remove. The paper in this notepad has enough tooth for hard or soft pencils, and also works well with pens. A Sharpie, though, will bleed through. I like this width for taking notes as it doesn't involve as much horizontal had movement, but isn't cramped like a pocked-sized notebook. I'm very happy with it. Read more

I needed some extra notepads and felt these were worth a look. The price, for a set of six, was certainly a fair deal. The notepads are clearly ruled, and are perforated along the top (for easier removal of the paper from the pad). Each page has a floral design on the bottom (which I would have happily done without). I was happy with the quality of the paper, as I use a fountain pen most of the time. The paper didn't have to bad of a problem with the ink bleeding through. Overall, these are a fairly priced, and good quality set of notepads for home or office. Read more
