I've had my fair share of surgeries over the last 3 years (eight surgeries!!), and I have been told to use Hibiclens for 3 days prior to each. I ended up ordering Bactosheild without noticing that it was 2% instead of 4% that Hibiclens is. My friend is an OR nurse and she said that the 2% Bactoshield works just as well as 4% of other solutions.
