Very breathable! Was out on a hot day and in and out of a sun-rayed vehicle, and forgot I had the thing on for a while. was pretty cool. Felt like I didn't need to take it off. It didn't smother the pores, either. Matter of fact I really like this face mask.. so far. It can be worn as a kool head thing like a skull wrap. Haven't put it through the wash yet and don't know how long it holds up to wear over time & taking it off and on and partially up for eating. I would like 1 or 2 more.
