For those of you who ski, board, snowmobile, snowshoe, or really engage in any outdoor winter activity, a balaclava is a must. This one isn't bad. It has the "two-piece" construction if you will, where the hood and the face mask part are two separate pieces of material sewn together. I much prefer this to the one-piece construction, where the hood and face mask are all one piece of material; those masks get stretched out and lose their shape. This hood's material is thin, which is what you want if you are wearing it under a helmet. If you are doing a non-helmet sport, a hat on top may be the way to go if you are out in colder temps. Can be configured as a full mask, a hood with open face, a neck gaiter, or a hat. Seems pretty well put together and we'll see how durable it is through a ski season. As it is, it's a good option. This balaclava is made of a fine, breathable, and moisture wicking fabric. In light of the thinner fabric, it protected my face well in more extreme temperatures (below freezing conditions and with snow and rain) and with wind present. I also have sensitive skin and found the fabric did not irritate my skin or cause any rashes. Overall, this is a very nice balaclava for the price point and I would highly recommend. A+. Read more
