I bought this preparing for a trip to Europe along with a fleece jacket and vest. This raincoat description states that it is purple. The vest and fleece jacket both claim to be lavender. In my opinion the only one that is correct on its color is the fleece jacket. This “purple” jacket is a very pastel purple/pinkish color. Whethert looks more pastel purple or pastel pink will depend on lighting and what clothes it is up against. This raincoat is very well made, making it a good value for the money. The style is very nice with the vented back, inside drawstring and hood that can be folded and zipped into the coat’s collar. The waterproof quality for how light it is, is as I would expect it to be. The raincoat is also very comfortable. With how light it is, I did not purchase it expecting to really help with warmth and planned to layer anyway as the picture shows. Between the 3 pieces, I have multiple options for layering. I bought my a bit larger to allow for having the fleece jacket and the vest under it. The ability to pull in the waist with the elastic drawstring is enough for me when wearing it alone. The description says this raincoat is for “hiking.” Obviously, their idea of hiking is vastly different than mine! A walk around town, stroll along a beach or through a park, or along a pristinely maintained path this jacket would be fine. But, a hike through the wilderness of the Big Horn Mountains or the like, this would not be my go to raincoat! Any hiking trails we go on, this jacket would get ripped way too easily and I would not attempt to carry a hiking pack with it either. My go to raincoat for hiking would be my old one that has some substance to the fabric to keep it from ripping if I pass a branch, rock, or anything that might potentially be a bit sharp. I seriously doubt this lightweight jacket would do well sitting on a rock during a hiking break, or while eating lunch. This is a beautiful raincoat, but made for more city type settings, not wilderness hiking. I purchased it because I wanted a very lightweight raincoat for the European trip. I also wanted a hood that would fold into the collar. I also wanted a vented back, because I know in rainy, humid conditions a raincoat also tends to end up being too warm without ventilation. I also wanted a longer length instead of hip length. Not only for more coverage, but for a dressier look. Since I purchased it a bit larger than my true size, the sleeves are way too long. I could not say that is the companies fault in my case. To resolve that problem, I repositioned one side of the Velcro on both sleeves. I sew, making that an easy fix for me. The only con that I see with this jacket is the description of it being able to folded into one of its front pockets. I tried and do not see that this is possible, or even a good idea. (1) The pocket zipper is not as long as the pocket interior. In my opinion the length of zipper used makes it too small of an open to stuff the jacket though. (2) The zipper kept getting caught on the flap meant to cover the zipper. I could not even succeed in getting it zipped all the way closed. (3) With how lightweight the jacket is and how tight the fit is trying to get it into, then back out of the pocket, I was grateful I did not end up with the fabric getting torn. I’ll resort to putting it back in the ziplock bag it came in if I need to. Otherwise, it will just be folded up. Bottom line: beautiful, well made jacket, ideal for travel, around town and even a walk in the park, BUT not for serious hiking. Read more

I love this coat! I've been trying to find a coat to wear on my daily commute where I transfer between multiple public transportation. I am outside at bus stops and walking a lot. I wanted something that would keep me dry but light weight. This is perfect! Material is breathable, easy to layer, not too hot, and the fabric doesn't feel like plastic rain coat. I bought a second one because I like it so much. I like that it comes in white because it makes it more high-visibility for pedestrian safety in the early morning darkness. So far it has stayed clean for the last two months of wearing and sitting on bus seats. I also like that it is long enough to cover my butt when I'm sitting down. The ONLY thing that I wish it had is a two way zipper. But for the low price, I can live without it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a light layer. Read more

Lovely color and well-made garment. I purchased a small but the sleeves are so long they cover most of my hands. The shoulder line extends at least 1.5 inches beyond my shoulders. The ample hood covers over half my face and impedes vision. The front hangs in folds. Will the manufacturer make an extra-small for us? I am almost 5'4" and 104 pounds. I will probably return it. I kept the coat: I made a fold on the back side of the hood of about 1.5 inches and sewed it; this lifted the it so that I can see better. I have gotten more accustomed to it being oversize. I have gotten many compliments on it and can see that others think it's quite stylish. Today I wore it in pouring rain for the first time. The rain never soaked my back but water seeped through my sleeves and the rest of the coat a bit. I'm relieved I wasn't soaking wet. Read more

After getting drenched in a recent rain storm with my old "rain coat," I went on the search for the perfect waterPROOF rain jacket. I finally ordered 2 different brands and decided to go with this brand. It checked all the boxes - inside and outside pockets, cinched waist, lightweight for travel, and long enough to cover my butt (don't know why anyone wouldn't want a longer one). Plus I definitely wanted waterproof - not water resistant. I usually wear XL so that's what I ordered but it was way too big so I returned it and got a large and it's perfect! There is still enough room to wear something warm underneath if I want. (5'1" 160 lbs) The sleeves are too long but I'm used to that and the velcro at the wrists help. The hood is unusually big but guess my face won't get wet - lol. But I can also deal with that by folding it under my head. But my biggest shock was when I saw the tag that said water "resistant" instead of "proof." What the heck? That's one of my dealbreakers! But I ran the sleeve under water and my arm stayed dry so I'll assume it's waterproof. Also, I spent 20 minutes trying to fold the jacket into its pocket - what a joke! I'll try again later but it really seems impossible. I debated giving this coat 4 stars instead of 5 for those reasons, but I think I'll be happy with it (just got it today). I'll edit this post later if I figure out the pocket thing and after I see how it really does in the rain. Read more

Love shape, length, hood. Works well would do 5 stars except 1) pocket zippers keep getting stuck on the outside trim, looks like zipper will tear it, it needs to be gently pulled out causing delay when needing to close it. + 2) very hard to fold up. Video on description shows an easy fold and fit into the pocket. Great idea but it is very difficult and I may have damage zipper trying to fold it into the pocket. If seller is reading, I would appreciate some help resolving issues. Read more
