I’ve been using the Bamboo Rain reed diffuser and the scent it so pleasant, reminding me of a rainy morning. It has this crisp, green smell that feels light but still fills the room in a really nice way. I like that I can just set it out and not worry about plugs or flames. The bottle looks pretty on its own and blends in with my bathroom decor without trying too hard. The reeds soak up the oil quickly, and I noticed the fragrance starting to spread within the first day. It gives my space a calm, clean feel that makes everything seem a little more relaxing. I also like that the oil doesn’t smell fake or overly strong. The size is small enough not to take up space but still lasts longer than I expected. For starters the Bamboo Rain scent is excellent! Very fresh and not at all cloying like some floral or food-based scents can be. The stoppered bottle, decorative cap with hole for the reeds, and the reeds themselves come in a retail box that is suitable for gift wrapping. The decorative screw-on cap is actual wood with a metal ferrule through which the reeds are inserted into the fragrance bottle. The bottle is of ample size and contains some small sprigs of decorative plant matter submerged in the liquid. The product description claims the scent lasts 30-60 days. Based on the time elapsed since I started it up and how little is used up I suspect it will go the distance. If it falls far short I’ll come back and update the review. I have it in a room about 12 by 15 feet and it successfully fills the room without being too strong, but I don’t think it can handle a larger room. As with all scent diffuser systems (and real estate) the keyword is location. For best diffusion be sure to place the bottle where there is adequate airflow (as opposed to within a cubby in a bookshelf for example). If there’s a breeze from the AC vent blowing over it naturally the scent will travel farther and faster but by the same token the liquid will be used up faster. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. The company mentions it sells refills but the bottle is such that you can refill it with anything designed to be sucked up a reed. Overall, I’m very pleased with the appearance and the scent. This diffuser is a very attractive addition to my powder room. It's small, smaller than I expected, tbh. But it's pretty powerful. What I most love about this diffuser is that it isn't electric! It isn't a candle! I don't have to worry about forgetting to unplug or remembering to blow out before I go to bed or leave the house. This item is set-it-and-forget-it. My favorite kind of thing. The instructions suggest starting with 3 - 5 reeds depending on how intense you'd like your scent to be. (Six reeds are provided.) I started with 3 and that's plenty. I think my powder room would have enough scent if I'd used only 1 or 2 but seriously? That would look weird. To my mind, 3 is the absolute minimum for it to look right. Bamboo Rain is an excellent description for the scent, by the way. I'm not entirely sure I think it's worth $30, but I'm betting the price would be lower if it weren't for the tariffs. I wish it was about half the price. Then I'd consider buying more for my other bathrooms. Read more
