My daughter is in the top bunk of her dorm room and she is very high up there. It made this mama nervous! She didn't like the look of the giant bed rail that blocked her visibility and it would be hard to make her bed with the rail. She would also feel closed in with the wall on one side, the bed rail on the other, and so close to the ceiling. At first, she thought I was crazy to suggest a toddler bed bumper. I ordered it anyway, and it's perfect. It stays put firmly under her fitted sheet, and is sturdy enough to provide just enough resistance that she doesn't approach the edge of the bed while sleeping. Since her bedding is all over the bumper, it's easy for her to make her bed. And, since her bed is so elevated, no one can tell the bumper is there from the ground looking up -- it just looks like a nice thick comforter. At first, I was nervous she would lose too much sleeping space, being on a twin, but she likes the coziness and she sleeps very well with it on her bed. This bumper was purchased for my three year old granddaughter's bed, and he's good at keeping her from falling out of the bed. It does slide around a little bit even though the straps are adjustable it will need adjusting, depending on how rough the sleeper is. Made a very good quality memory foam with long, elastic straps. Waterproof as well. I do push it to the end of the mattress to allow for more room as it is wide and takes up some room, as you can see in the pictures. My daughter also purchased one for her home, but ended up returning it and she said it took up too much room on the bed as they sometimes have to sleep with their little one! I really like the concept of this item, it’s great for sleepovers with my 3 year old granddaughter but the strap is too short to fit over my mattress. I’ve extended it as far as it will go and it has absolutely no give. I’ve placed it under the sheet so I don’t think it will move. I like it but I don’t love it. Read more
