I need to stay out of the sun more, but living in Florida that can be a challenge at best. I also buzz my hair down to zero, so I use gaiters like this one as a head covering. I can twist and fold and wear this one all different ways and it looks and fits great. It's a bit longer than other brands I have and therefore it fits my big, ol' head even better. I purchased this item primarily for its claimed UV protection. The material is light weight and comfortable. I wear a size 7.75 hat, so I was concerned about the fit. While it is somewhat tight, it is bearable and should work for a wide range of head sizes. I tried looking through the fabric to estimate its ability to block dust and UV rays. While the mask is breathable, it also seems thick enough to prevent inhaling dust and to block UV rays, My only concern is the lack of variety. I would like to purchase another one in a more "neutral" pattern such as black or gray but could not find one. I have ordered a second one of this model so I can wash one while wearing the other. Love this gaiter. I wear them in summer to keep cool and the sun off my neck and face. And during the winter as an added layer. It’s a thin material that’s breathable. It’s long enough to go over my head and still cover my neck. I wash them weekly, they hold up well. I own about 10 now. Read more
