I love this towel (though I use it for a blanket) because it is so well made. Compared to others I have, it has more texture, but is also soft and silky. I have washed it and it did not shrink and it came out just as soft. It is a bit thicker and not as tightly woven as some others. To me, it makes the perfect lightweight blanket for the couch or for sitting outside on cooler days. It seems to be very high quality. If you are looking for the more tightly woven flat feel, this might not be what you need. Because I haven't used it as a towel, I can't comment on its absorbency, but because it is just a little thicker than other Turkish towels, I think it would be more absorbent. I liked this so much I ordered one for my mother who is always cold at restaurants. I'm really enjoying this beach towel. It's super soft on the skin. The color is beautiful and looks in person just like it does online. It's holding up well for me. I haven't noticed any shrinking after washing. It's light weight and easy to pack to take with you to the park or the beach. Read more

I got this towel as a replacement for a lost Sandcloud towel and I have to say, they are not really equal in anyway. This towel has a rough texture, it’s not as thick or as soft as the Sandcloud towel. Even after 2 washes, the towel is still rough and stiff. However, this towel does dry quickly, packs small, and repels sand as it claims. But you get what you pay for. If you are looking to replace a Sandcloud towel, just save yourself the disappointment and get another Sandcloud towel. Read more
