This thing is pretty awesome. It’s not just a lighter — it also has a bottle opener and a bright little LED light built in. On top of that, it’s rechargeable and windproof, so it actually works when you need it. I brought it out during a family BBQ and it instantly grabbed everyone’s attention. People were passing it around, testing the light, opening bottles, and just laughing at how handy it is. Feels solid in the hand and honestly way more useful than I expected. Definitely one of those gadgets that’s fun to show off and actually practical too. Read more

I picked this up because I was tired of flimsy plastic lighters that always seem to run out of fluid at the worst time. This "BBQ BRO" is a very different beast. Right out of the box, you can feel that it's heavy-duty. It has a solid, full-tang metal body with a matte black finish, so it feels substantial in your hand, not like a cheap gadget. The main function, the lighter, works well. You slide up a safety switch and press a button, and it creates a small electric arc. Because it's an arc and not a flame, the wind doesn't blow it out, which is perfect for lighting the grill or a fire pit. The neck is also long enough to reach down into deep candle jars, which is a nice bonus. The other features are genuinely useful. The bottle opener is integrated into the metal body, so it's not going to bend or break. It's very sturdy. There's also a small flashlight on the bottom. It's not super bright, but it's definitely bright enough to find something in a dark drawer or light your path to the grill at night. I really appreciate that it's rechargeable with a standard USB cable. It even has a little set of LED lights that act as a battery indicator, so you know when it needs to be plugged in. This is going to live right by our barbecue, but it's also a great all-in-one tool to toss in our camping box. Read more

I use this almost every time we grill now. Day or night it does the job. Solid quality build, ergonomic and stylish, my friends asked where they could get one. It fits well in the hand, and although there is no flame, it lights the grill every time. Battery life is great, I've used it 2 - 3 times a week and have not had to recharge yet. The light is not super bright but it's more than adequate. Value is good considering the functionality - the bottle opener is a nice feature. Can recommend to all the grillers out there. I've even used it to light the paper in a charcoal chimney. Read more

I ordered and received the ILLUMICHARGE brand "BBQ BRO Rechargeable Lighter & Bottle Opener with Flashlight...". This is a cool, rechargeable lighter that also has a flashlight and a bottle opener built in to it. You can feel the good quality of this item in that it feels heavy in hand. After fully charging the unit I have used it as both a flashlight and a candle lighter. It works perfectly for both. Wind does not affect the lighter so it is great for lighting outdoor fires, though I would have liked it to be a bit longer. The flashlight is a single led bulb that is bright enough to be helpful to walk around the campsite with. I haven't used the bottle opener part, but it seems strong enough to last. I don't like that this lighter came with a USB B charging port since all newer phones and gadgets now use USB C, but the lighter did come with a USB B cable. This is a very reasonable value for the money since it is a 3-in-1 lighter and it works really good. Read more

You definitely need this! If you spend your Summer and Falls doing bonfires or BBQs, this is for you. It's so practical! The battery lasts a very long time. I think we have only charged it twice and we use this thing all the time. From lighting candles to bonfires. It's very durable and has been left outside numerous nights and doing well. It has different speeds that the light flashes..Need to scare a raccoon away? Just flash the light! Love this thing. Read more

This BBQ Lighter is a very cleaver design. You get a windproof lighter, that doesn't require fuel (other than a charge), a bottle opener and flashlight all in a nice compact design. This lighter charges via a Micro-USB port and lasts for hundreds or repeated uses. There's a light gauge on the front that shows how much of a charge it has, so you know when it's time to plug in. Having a bottle opener on this is a nice feature since it seems like when having a BBQ, someone always has to go searching for the one the house, that we always forget exactly which drawer it's in. The flashlight is something you don't normally see in a lighter, but anyone has grills often enough, has had their share of doing so in the dark, or at least lower light conditions and having extra light is useful. One thing to note is that, while the packaging says there is overcharge protection, it also says "Disconnect the power immediately after fully charged." If there was overcharge protection this shouldn't be an issue, so just one thing to keep in mind. Read more

This little lighter is a great all in one tool for camping, BBQs and bonfire nights! The arc lighter portion is great to get the job done. Remember: This isn't a flame lighter, you need to just catch a bit of whatever flammable item you're trying to ignite. Don't full the whole space between the prongs. Takes a little practice but within a minute I had it figured out for lighting candles. Since its not a flame, you don't have to worry about wind or the elements snuffing it out. The flashlight is handy as well for checking out the area you're trying to light, looking for your keys, or checking if anything has fallen into your cup. The bottle opener is honestly more of a gimmick to me than anything else. It works, but its a bottle opener, so it's hard to mess up. But bottled beverages are culturally part of events involving fire so it makes sense. Read more
