Before this arrived, I assumed that a portable steamer would be messy to refill or leave everything soaking wet. After useing it for a few days to detail our SUV, I realized that the moisture control is actually a huge benefit for me. It actually provided much better cleaning for the upholstery and dashboard crevices than our old shop vac and towels, and it is a relief that I will be able to keep the car looking new for the rest of the year without paying for professional detailing. Having a busy household means I appreciate when cleaning gear is versatile enough to move from the garage to the kitchen. The surface of this steam cleaner has a professional, durable finish and there was absolutely no weird plastic scent when I first powered it up. There is a satisfying weight to the internal boiler and brass fittings that makes it feel like a piece of high-quality equipment, which is exactly what my spouse was looking for so we could stop dealing with messy situations involving old sponges and buckets. Under the safety cap, the seal is very secure, although the only real annoyance was that the box was a bit of a pain to break down for recycling because of the extra-thick cardboard internal supports. Since it comes with so many different nozzles, it is a very reliable choice for tackling everything from window tracks to oven racks, though I did find that the packagging was a bit of a pain to open initially because of the heavy-duty tape used to secure the hose. There are some that are doubles in case you wear them out. The tank is small but that makes it easy to carry. The attachments are easy to use and the instructions are clear. Installation/setup: Fill the tank with clear water and attach your brush or other pieces. Turn it on and use to remove grease or other dirt from surfaces. Final thoughts: I used this to clean a grease buildup from my gas stove. I had installed a removable cover so I didn’t have to see the brown stains I couldn’t scrub off. I used this steam cleaner and a bit of elbow grease and got it all off. My stove looks wonderful now and I’m glad I got this cleaner.
