Perfect size for my 11yr old. 5'1" 113lbs. She is in competitive swim and does not feel seasoned enough to use alternative methods to control her flow while menstruating. What a wonderful invention to prevent an embarrassing moment or the simple anxiety of the possibility. This suit is not only so easy for on and off, utilizing the zipper, but there is NO bulkiness like you would assume. The thickness of material is a tad thicker than most competitive suits, but myself and daughter prefer this- me because of the durability withstanding chlorine, -hers because it hides what it needs to when chilly. I got this bathing suit for my daughter and she was impressed. She’s 18 and in college and wanted a bathing suit that was modest, yet sexy and could be worn on her period, this one fits the bill. The color is absolutely gorgeous. Black is always in style and makes you look chic and trim. The quality of the suit is wonderful, making this a great value for the money. Size and fit are accurate. She wears an XS and this fit perfectly, she said it was snug and comfy. Functions as advertised. Handled her period well, no issues performed flawlessly. It’s durable and built to last. This athletic swimsuit is cute and seems well made, but sizing is definitely important. I’m normally a size large and wanted a more fitted look, so I ordered a medium, and that was a mistake. It ended up being too tight throughout and not comfortable enough for me to even feel confident taking and uploading a photo. That said, the design itself is nice and sporty, and I do think it would fit and feel much better if you stick with your true size. I’d recommend sizing true to size rather than sizing down, especially if you want comfort and mobility. Read more

When I ordered this, the only size left was an extra small. I wasn't sure about the sizing, but I have a very petite 20-something year old daughter, I wondered if this would fit her. I was disappointed because it doesn't fit her, but it sort of did... It just was too tight in the length. And overall it was too tight. She has a waste of 25 inches and her hips and bust I believe are 34 in. I might open the straps up and lengthen it a bit. I might also do that on the side seams. I'm a seamstress and can do all kinds of things... But whether or not I want to is another story! ;-) I presume that this xs swimsuit would probably do better on a child of 8 or 9 years old. But regardless of the age of a child that fits or the age of a young adult.. I will tell you that it's sewn very well. It's also really pretty with it s color scheme. Both my daughter and myself were very pleased with the color scheme, which is why we were particularly disappointed that it didn't fit her. Now, I cannot say that is a company's fault. I probably didn't look very closely at the size, but I did want to give it a try and see if it might fit her even though she is a little bit larger than the swimsuit. She could fit into it, but it was far too tight. I know this isn't all particularly exciting, but perhaps she'll be interested like I was to see if the potential of fitting into an extra small was possible for a 20-something year old person. I suppose if they had a waste of 20 in over less, that it might work, but it doesn't seem to fit a petite girl with a 24 or 25 in waist. From the looks of this swimsuit however, I do believe it will stay looking nice for a very long time. But potentially I could be mistaken, if the material is not resistant to Sun bleaching or chemicals, etc but if you're looking for a really cute and fairly modest swimsuit, then this is definitely that type. I like that it has a high neckline and a zipper to get into it. I would prefer if the cut of the lid fiber a little bit lower, but they're not exceedingly high, just a little bit more than I prefer. Most of the other reviews told of the suit fitting children. My wife is petite, but not a child, and it also fits her well. She was, however, recalcitrant to try it on. The prior art of the swim suit industry, I now know, makes use of something called a hygiene shield for the crotch area. This one did not have a hygiene shield (and my wife is a retired bacteriologist). A “shield” made of Saran Wrap was a cobbled substitute. Once on, the suit fit her perfectly and was flattering (we used the provided size chart and the Amazon algorithm). Well made of good materials. It has a robust zipper. I would deem the coverage to be average for a sports type suit. She will mostly use in a community indoor pool frequented by other women. Read more
