I recently purchased the Bee Suit for Men and Women (XL), and it has been excellent for backyard beekeeping! The sting-proof polycotton material provides strong protection while remaining breathable and lightweight, which is crucial for comfort during long beekeeping sessions. The suit comes with a ventilated hood that keeps the face cool and visible while offering full protection, and the included gloves add an extra layer of safety for handling bees. The design allows for easy movement, making it practical for inspecting hives, harvesting honey, or general maintenance. I appreciate the durable construction and thoughtful features, like elastic cuffs and a front zipper, which ensure bees cannot easily enter the suit. The XL size fits comfortably over clothes, providing ample room without being restrictive. Pros: Sting-proof polycotton material Ventilated hood for breathability and visibility Includes gloves for full protection Lightweight, durable, and allows easy movement Elastic cuffs and front zipper prevent bees from entering Cons: XL sizing may be large for smaller individuals; check sizing chart Gloves may feel slightly stiff initially but soften with use Overall: The Bee Suit is a high-quality, protective, and comfortable option for hobbyists or professional beekeepers. Ideal for backyard beekeeping, it provides safety without sacrificing mobility or comfort. Highly recommended! Read more
I ordered this bee suit, not because I’m a beekeeper, but because I’m highly allergic to different kinds of wasps and things like that. This bee suit allows me to be able to work in higher grass and area that would be considered unsafe for me with my allergies. I ordered a medium, and it’s very long in the torso with shorter legs, but it fits ok. It has a helmet that zips on, and very long gloves made out of leather and canvas. The suit is a light weight, and very functional. I think it’s a very good investment not only for beekeepers, but for people like me who anre highly allergic to bee, wasps, and other creatures, are otherwise would not be able to work in their yard. It is exceptionally high quality with strong fabric and very comfortable gloves. After being stung 5 times going after a nest, this was a great investment. No stings, fit well, exactly what I needed. Great price too. Read more
I don't have bees but the wasps were terrible this year. I needed to clean up a shed that the wasps had claimed as their own and I could only spray the ones I could see. After getting stung 7 times, I decided to give this a try. It fit well and I'm not sure if any tried to attack me, but I never got stung while wearing it. It doesn't breath much so it is hot but I'll take that over being stung any day. The gloves were a little tight but they did fit. All in all, for the price, the quality and fit were spot on. Well made and there are no area where the bees can sneak inside. No too bulky or hot and great netting over the face area. Good material heft and dependability. The zipper works properly and range of motion is wonderful. Simple to get on and off. Does its job perfectly. Read more
This suit is awesome. For the price I was expecting “okay”, but it’s perfect for me. I can actually see when I’m doing my bee checks, as opposed to the old hat I used to wear. My last hive inspection the bees were pretty unhappy and I didn’t get stung. And it’s very breathable, which is a huge relief in the summer, where it can get in the 100s here. I actually wore it to do farm chores once out of desperation because the mosquitoes were so bad. It was in the 90s and I barely broke a sweat. All the zippers work great and it fits fine. I got a size up than what I probably needed so my husband could wear it also, but it works just fine. Read more
I got this bee suit today and I wore it to put some kind of wasp killer powder (not sure how useful this powder is) along the entrance to the wasp nest. I am eager to write this review as I was stung a few times before. Bottom line: it protected me, although I saw so many wasps flying around (I guess they must have some ways of communication). Please note, I also wore normal autumn clothes inside. As to the quality of the suit, I would say it is decent, at least for occassional home use. The zippers are smooth and look strong, the gloves seem like very good quality. You need to get one which should be about 4"+ longer than your height. I would 100% recommend this bee suit to my friends for home use. Read more
You get what you pay for in this Beekeeper suit. It is cheaply made, and the online sizing is inaccurate. It might make a great Halloween Costume -- but it is not made for beekeeping. Read more
