This was my first time using gel polish as well as my first time doing gel polish on my own…this starter set is amazing! I have naturally long, strong nails so no need to put tips or acrylic on them as it will weaken them so this was perfect for me! I purchased to save money by doing my own nails for a wedding I had and it was SUPER easy! I got many compliments on my nails all night! The picture is my natural nails with the gel polish on them and about a week after I did them and they still look amazing! I’ve cooked, cleaned, and washed dishes with them on and they still look great! I did have to purchase the base coat and top coat as well as the LED/UV light separately, but this kit came with 8 “French manicure” colors, rhinestones, glitters, rhinestone/glitter gel glue, and a wax pencil to place the rhinestones so well worth the money! I have been using beetles gel polish for about a year. I have very brittle nails that split ,break and have ridges. I love that the gel gives me an extra layer of strength. It shouId be noted that I file down the color layer and never really get to the actual nail except in the new growth. I have no problem with chipping or peeling using this method and it saves the abuse of the acetone on my nails. I recently purchased this set with the new colors, glitter and gems. I tried the glitter for the first time last night. I love the way that it looks on my nails but a few suggestions. Try to use a small amount of glitter on the nails, too much makes the nails lumpy and rough. Also, the top coat over the glitter picks up the loose glitter pieces and they end up back in the top coat bottle. I will be buying a fresh bottle of top coat for the manicures without glitter. I love their polish, have used 2 different sets with their base and top coats, they work great. I always sit my bottles in warm water to keep the polish as thin as possible, this helps with thinner coats and ease of painting. Read more
