At 5'2" this is the perfect size bag. I'm using the longer strap and wearing it as a crossbody bag and it's ideal. It's not too big for my frame and not too small for the contents of my stuff. I love the built-in wallet! My wallet is just too big and fat and takes up too much space so I'm happy to give it up. The color taupe is exactly what I wanted. Not too light to show every mark, yet not the black or dark brown I've been using for the last 5 years in spite of living in Hawaii and constant sunshine. It seems durable and the leather is soft and buttery. I find the pebble grain nice but it seems a little too matte and I'd prefer it a bit shinier. Just a personal preference. For the price I'd say it's a super deal. There's nothing special about it though; it's not exciting in any way; just a plain old but useful purse-but at least it's not plastic or that polyurethane fake leather which you would get in any department store spending this amount. This bag is made with quality care, has very nice zippers, smells just like geniune leather, and is very nice. It arrived in a dust-free cover, which is nice to have. However, it was too small for my needs... I like to carry my cards in a separate wallet and not in a zippered pocket. I also wanted to carry inside of it: a pocket size kleenex container, a very small notebook, a pen, pads, a small size coin purse, a mini pepper spray, a small bottle of lotion, chapstick, a pocket knife, and a few other small items. I'd like to also ideally have room to carry my small conceal carry gun on occasion, but I couldn't even fit the regular items without barely being able to zip it. It's not quite wide enough from front to back or tall/deep enough. I'm returning it for a larger one of this company's purses. If you don't carry very many items, and are comfortable using their built in card holder, instead of a wallet, this could be great! I almost never write reviews but I felt compelled to say how amazing this bag is. I wanted something stylish and classy, minimal but not too small, and incredibly functional and safe. Wow I just love this bag! I love the burgundy color,( all the colors are nice though) and the high quality leather they used to make it. So much room and compartments, you won’t even really need a wallet , it’s really a good price for the quality you get. It is durable and soft leather, genuine leather and the zippers glide smoothly and are very sturdy. I highly recommend this as a perfect go to purse that is classy and stylish and yet not too heavy. Lovely purse – I've only used the shorter strap to carry it as a hobo version– but so happy they also include a long strap for Crossbody in the future. The color is rich, and the leather is supple. Appreciate that you can basically have your wallet in the outside pocket with all the slots for credit cards, spots for cash and a checkbook, and even a zippered area for coins or something to keep more secure. I was looking for a slightly larger handbag than what I had purchased before from befen. While I love that hobo style crossbody handbag, it was just a tad too small if I wanted to carry my Costa sunglasses in their case inside my purse. The case is on the larger side and would always fall out of my purse. This handbag style is perfectly sized to still be minimalistic, yet is very functional. I love that this and certain styles have the ability to change out the crossbody and shoulder straps. I have a couple of "guitar-style" ones that I like to use and change out just for fun. I honestly love the quality and style of Befen handbags. The pebble leather is so soft and the interior linings are exquisitely sewn. Befen combines quality and style at a very affordable price. This will now be my third one purchased. Whether you choose basic black or any other fabulous color, you won't be disappointed.
