Okay, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to my tech accessories, but Belkin almost always nails it. I've been a loyal customer for years, and their hubs and transfer wires are consistently top-notch. This Belkin Connect 4 Port USB C Hub definitely keeps that streak going, it never lets me down. You get four USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, each ready for ultra high-speed data transfers up to 10Gbps, which is fantastic for my external SSDs and other peripherals. It's super handy for connecting all my gear, from cameras to a keyboard, and I've had zero issues with performance. The pass-through charging up to 100W is also a lifesaver, keeping my laptop juiced up while I use the hub. Plus, the compact design and durable build mean I can toss it in my bag without a second thought. Belkin truly understands what users need in a reliable multi-port adapter. Read more

This hub is very handy if you need to use multiple USB-C peripherals but still need passthrough power for your laptop, 65 watts in my case. I have not experienced any noticeable difference in transfer speeds or heat. Typical Belkin high quality, all the ports are tight and connections feel secure. I want to note that this unit will NOT allow HDMI functions via USB-C. I still need to plug my external display directly into the other USB-C port on my laptop. The only downside is that the surface of the hub is a high gloss black, which will scuff like crazy the first time you toss it into your backpack or set it on the table. Does not at all effect functionality but can be annoying for some. Otherwise, this is now one of my essential daily tech accessories. Read more

Of course my PC has all the USB-A ports a human being could ever want or need but only 1 USB-C port, so naturally all of my newer peripherals use USB-C. This is the best USB-C multitap I’ve found, it gets the job done. Read more

Nice little hub - output is 40 w though so a slow charger if using it to charge a phone off of a computer. Read more

(edited) I tried to use it use with an external display for my pixel phone over HDMI. It worked but quit. Then I tried with a shorter HDMI cable and it worked just fine. Read more

Would not operate either of my 2 SSD’s connected to either my iPad or MacBook Pro m4. I checked everything carefully, connected plenty of power to the PD input, tried different cables and spoke with Belkin support. Both SSD’s work perfectly when connected directly to my iPad and direct or through a hub on my Mac Book Pro. My type A card reader worked fine and at reasonable speeds. Read more

I've been using this hub for about a month on a daily basis for hours at a time. I have two monitors connected plus a wireless mouse and keyboard too. Works fine and opened up 4 ports on my laptop! The only downside is the cord is very short that connects to my laptop. I designed my desk setup to address that shortcoming so its not a problem for me, but for others it could be an issue! Does what a hub ought to do - which is to say, you can plug it into one USB-C port and it will make power and data connectivity available to four downstream USB-C devices. The big caveats are that the host cable is extremely short and the power made available to downstream devices is significantly reduced from what the host provides. It's still a five star device because these short cables are universally present on all USB-C hubs, and the power limitations are less severe than other similar products that I have tested. Most importantly, the data connectivity offered by this unit is excellent, and it's extremely portable, being barely larger than the connectors it contains. I would still very much prefer a version of this device with a USB-C female connector on the back instead of the permanently attached short cable but apparently there are valid technical reasons that USB-C hubs are not made in this way. Devices that offer more power and better cabling options are now classified as docks rather than hubs, they tend to be based on Thunderbolt rather than plain old USB-C, and some of these docks are quite excellent, but they are comparatively very expensive. This particular device is just a hub, it is very affordable compared to a dock, and it's as good as USB-C hubs get. Read more
