I really like this case! I ended up getting it in black, which is very chic imo. I opted for black due to reviews that lighter colors tend to look dirtier over time. Black was a safe bet. The texture is smooth but not waxy. When I first got it, it kind of felt like paper. It's legit leather and after using it for a few days I'm getting used to the smooth texture and has become easier to hold - maybe oils from my hands are helping with the grip. Definitely less slippy than not having a case at all. If you want super grippy, this is not it. The case is a snug fit. Since it doesn't wrap all the way around the bottom of the phone I was a little concerned, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. The buttons seem to connect well with the phone buttons and they are easy to push. I was looking for something understated but low-key luxe and I think this case fits the bill.
