The media could not be loaded. I have a Mac Mini M4 that I use for a home cloud storage solution. I found that the Mac is getting very warm despite its design, it was just too warm for my liking and it hurts the performance of the Mac. I also wanted to add more storage but have no ports left. I needed a solution to add more storage and cool down the Mac. Naturally I began my search on Amazon. I found my solution! I found this Mac mini M4 dock and riser all in one. This dock raises the Mac to where it has great air circulation. It also had silicon pads on the riser and bottom of the dock. The dock itself has all the ports I needed to add extra storage. This has an m.2 slot on the bottom for an SSD (up to 4 TB), USB 3.0/3.2 ports, DP port, USBC for a power source, USBC port that not only supports storage but can be used to extend the display. The while dock is one piece, which I appreciate. The dock is made from quality textured aluminum for superior heat dissipation. Each port holds its peripheral tightly as well. This is durable, light weight, easy to use, easy to set up, supplies great air circulation, has fast speeds on all ports, looks awesome as it matches the Mac Mini M4 perfectly. This solution allows for saving space on a desk, which I can appreciate. This has a small footprint too. The value for the money is there 100%! Overall, I am very satisfied with my decision to pick up this dock for my Mac Mini M4. It is a perfect solution as it raises the Mac and extends its capability. My Mac has not even gotten warm. This dock is quality all around! I can with complete confidence recommend this to my friends, family, and co-workers, or anyone that has a Mac Mini M4. This dock has made my expansion of my home cloud network a breeze. No drivers needed, just plug and play. Read more
I picked up this BENFEI dock to use with my Mac mini M4, and it has quickly become one of those accessories that feels almost essential once you start using it. The extra ports are a complete game changer. The Mac mini is powerful, but the limited ports can become a bottleneck pretty quickly depending on your setup. This dock expands things nicely with multiple USB-A ports, USB-C, SD and TF card slots, and DisplayPort. It makes connecting peripherals, external drives, and accessories much more convenient without constantly swapping cables. One of the standout features for me is the built-in NVMe SSD enclosure. I bought the base storage Mac mini, and it fills up surprisingly fast once you start installing apps, media, and project files. Being able to add an NVMe drive directly into the dock is incredibly handy. It’s a clean way to expand storage without having another external drive sitting on the desk. The physical design is also excellent. The fit is perfect and it matches the aesthetics of the Mac mini almost exactly. Once the Mini is sitting on top of it, the whole setup looks like it was designed by Apple to go together. It keeps everything looking clean and organized. Another nice bonus is the elevated stand design. The Mac mini’s power button is located on the bottom and can be awkward to reach. With this dock lifting the unit slightly, it’s noticeably easier to access when needed. Overall, this is a really well thought out accessory for the Mac mini M4. It expands connectivity, adds fast storage options, and integrates seamlessly with the look and feel of the computer. Easy 5 stars. Read more

The BENFEI Mac mini M4 dock has been a really smart addition to my desk setup, essentially turning the Mac mini into a much more capable workstation. The 10-in-1 connectivity is impressive for something that doubles as a stand — having the NVMe SSD enclosure built right into the base is brilliant because it gives you fast expandable storage without any extra clutter on your desk. I popped in a spare 2280 NVMe drive and the 10 Gbps transfer speeds are exactly as advertised, which is great for working with large files. The front-facing SD and microSD card readers are super convenient for photo and video workflows since you don't have to reach around the back of the Mac mini anymore, and the 170 MB/s read speeds keep things moving quickly. The mix of USB-C and USB-A ports at both 10 Gbps and 5 Gbps gives you plenty of flexibility for connecting peripherals, and the 4K DisplayPort output is a nice bonus if you need an additional display beyond what the Mac mini itself offers. The silver finish matches the Mac mini perfectly and the overall build quality feels solid. I'm giving four stars because the DisplayPort output maxes out at 4K@30Hz, which is fine for productivity but not ideal if you were hoping for smooth 4K@60Hz — you'll want to use the Mac mini's native ports for that. Also the unit does get noticeably warm when the NVMe drive is under sustained load, which is worth keeping in mind. But as an all-in-one stand, hub, and storage expansion solution for the Mac mini M4, it's hard to beat at this price point. Read more
