Great product for opening compression watch backs! Although it is expensive compared to other similar products, even though the prying edge is very thin (but not sharp), it worked very well for removing a very stubborn ladies watch back that the back removal tools from 2 other watch repair kits previously purchased could not without causing damage to the back. This tool caused no damage to either the watch back not the tool itself. Read more

Pretty simple idea of a tool. Not sharp—which is a good thing. Very thin. I didn’t think it would be much better than a flat screwdriver when I first held it. However, it does a really great job at opening watches and pocket watches. The thin blade fits nicely into the super tiny gap you have with press-on watch cases. It helps prevent you from damaging or scratching the case. Good grip, works great, rock solid construction (Victorinox), and uber simple. Maybe a little pricey at first glance, but I think it is worth it. Should last forever. Would buy again if lost. Read more

This is a real watchmaker's tool...not one of the cheap, flimsy copies you see advertised on Amazon. The construction is solid (minimal flexing) and the knife's edge is thin enough to fit under press-fit case openings (like on my Tissot) that don't have a indentation to help you get a grip/leverage. Was able to easily open the case without digging or scratching my watch back. This isn't the case with other knifes. Also found it useful for prying open my car key fob to replace the battery without any digging or scratching. It's considerably more expensive (about 5 x) than the cheapos, but works right all the time. Read more

This product was the right tool for a difficult job. Worked just as I hoped it would. A little pricey but worth every penny. Used it to open other watches with the same outstanding results. You really do get what you pay for. Read more

It does what it’s supposed to. But it might not have enough leverage for some case backs. It’s a quality tool that’s going to last a long time if cared for properly. Read more

I was about to give up, I was failing and scratching my watch using those cheap tools with the yellow handles. I decided I would give this a try given the great reviews as a last resort. 30 seconds after taking this Bergeon 4932 out of the package the bezel on my Seiko 5 sport popped right off with little to no effort. well worth the money!
