I ordered one brush for me, and two for my dog. I haven’t used them on my dog, yet, but the one I used worked well in my hair. I believe anyone (types 1-4c and various thicknesses, lengths, and fragility) can use the brushes, as long as the proper hair products are first applied. I needed a detangling hairbrush and was in a pickle to repair my old one for my unruly hair. But i wanted one that would actually help me and not cause me so much pain. So i bought three: this one, the Ninabella Organic Detangling Hair Brush, and the FHI Heat UNbrush Detangling Brush. (Ive also had several Wet brushes in the past, they're ok) This one did work to untangle my hair, but its not as good as the FHI Heat UnBrush. I thought this one would be the best since its the closest to what i used to hair with the way the brush separates the bristles. But this one feels like it could break easily, whether is be the bristles or a whole section, it just doesnt feel very sturdy. It's not broken and it's not an issue with how the bristles are since it's similar to my old brushes and im used to that; but it's just a peace of mind id like to have to know this would last me years like my last one. I'm not a fan of having a tiny piece to keeo track of either when I want the bristles to fan out more, it's popped out several times and I'm pretty sure I'll eventually lose it. The bristles are also just shorter than I'd like, i prefer to feel the bristles on my scalp to stimulate it and feel that all the tangles are gone. Overall, it does work and I'll still use it as a backup. Its just not as good as the Unbrush and would have liked to see an honest review comparing it to another brush when I was researching. Seriously the best! I didn't realize how much different this could be than a regular brush but it is. The individual rows of the brush help so much when it hits a tangle, it doesn't pull bc just that row will stay with the tangle and then the tines are so smooth it works it way through the hair much better than ANY brush I've use. My and my daughter's hair is curly and frizzy and this helps beyond my expectations! Read more

For reference my hair is a combination of 3B/3C and very thick. It detangles super well. However there’s issues that other reviews didn’t wanna mention. 1. When I brush it through my hair it takes out ALL the product. Like with each brush, huge globs of conditioner just comes straight out. Which is very annoying. I’ve never had a brush that does this. 2. Leaves my hair feeling like straw and super frizzy after it dries. Again I’ve never used a brush that does this. 3. It’s terrible for styling. It makes my curl pattern look awful. It’s very annoying. Between the frizz, the way it makes my curls look bad, and it being awful for styling, I wouldn’t recommend. But it is incredible at instantly detangling hair better than other brushes I’ve tried. So there’s that. If that’s what you want go ahead and get it. Read more
