BIC is good, bad packing for shipping, one lighter smashed.
BIC are good lighters. Packaging for shipping is terrible. Flimsy plastic bag allowed one lighter to be smashed. Have to buy this item locally as packaging for shipping is unacceptable. Read more

cello wrapped lighters
BIC lighters are the standard for a disposable lighter. Now the disclaimer. I have had two lighters in cello wrapper not opened. They were for emergency use on fishing trips. I was repacking and noticed the inside looked cloudy. I opened the package and found 1 lighter still worked and 1 that would not spark. Over the years it appears 1 had the ferro rod deteriorate and that was what the cloudy residue inside was. These were between 20 and 30 years old. They both still had fluid. This is not a complaint but a reminder to check your gear regularly. I am purchasing new BIC lighters for my kit. They are still the standard! Read more
