Congratulations. You didn’t buy a lighter—you adopted a handheld black hole with a mirror finish. The odds of losing this lighter have somehow gone up. Not because it blends in—but because it reflects nothing useful. The gloss is so dark it turns light into a rumor. The only way to spot it is the thin strip of silver guarding the flint, like a lighthouse screaming into space. This lighter is darker than coffee poured during a blackout, in a basement, during a lunar eclipse. You might say, “At least the bottom is white.” Incorrect. The bottom is also black. Shinier.
