My husband is a pretty solid XL in shirts, and as soon as he tried this on, before it was even all the way over his head, he noted that it was already feeling more like a L than an XL. Other than running a bit on the small side, the proportions of the shirt are great. He's a hair under 5'9" and sometimes XLs can run a little long on him, but this one hits at the right spot. The sleeves aren't too long, too short, too tight, or too loose. The collar is also the right size and shape and lies flat. If Goldilocks needed a polo shirt, she would pick this one. I would not, however, say that this feels like your typical moisture wicking golf shirt. Those are typically a little bit silkier of a fabric and this cotton/poly blend feels like any other polo you would get at the department store with a sort of more open weave. In fact, it reminds me an awful lot of a polo shirt I used to wear as part of a work uniform when I was a teenager, and those were standard issue uniform-quality fabric, but this one claims to allow more airflow and keep you cooler, although that can be kind of hard to quantify. Sometimes dressier polos are made from soft rayon-blend types of fabric and those tend to look more refined, but I actually think that not being a really soft fabric helps to give this shirt more structure so that it sits better over the midsection. We picked this up in navy blue and it's a true navy. Not too dark, not too light, not too close to royal blue (it always makes me unreasonably irritated when someone calls a shirt navy and a bright primary colored blue shows up instead) - again, Goldilocks. If you tend to wear shirts that are XL, but are bordering on being comfortable in a L, XL should work well for you. If you're wearing XLs, but they're on the snug side, err on the side of caution and order a size up. Read more

Nice quality polo shirt. It is a lil heavier than the typical polo shirts I get from department stores but still comfortable; appeared to be double knit. Shirt still seem breathable and did not run hot but its definelty thicker and would be a nice polo for the colder days. Color was accurate and no issues with wrinkles after washing. Shirt felt fine enough againstvmy skin, nothing irritating or abrasive. Length of the shirt and sleeves were within my comfort range but it felt a lil tighter around my belly than I like but that is more of an issue with my body size. I ordered XXL and am 5'9" 220 lbs. This Polo is just what I'd call "ok" quality. It's good enough for something pretty casual, and is functional but not really all that nice. The seams aren't perfectly straight, and one of the buttons required cutting a thread before it could be opened. It fit a bit tighter than usual for this size, so if you like them a little looser go up a size. The fabric is thicker than I was expecting for something that should be breathable, but it's not overly hot to wear. Read more

Item under review: L polo shirt (I'm 6' 185lbs). This polo shirts description is all over the place. Is it an ordinary polo shirt, workout shirt, or something to show off your upper body? This particular shirt did not feel like any polo shirt I've ever worn -- it felt tighter around the arms and shoulders. Depending upon your viewpoint, this can be good or bad. Additionally, the seams along the shoulders (front and back) were really uneven (see the photos). Pros: - 65% cotton / 35% polyester is a good blend for ease of cleaning and helpful when hot or sweaty. - seems like an athletic fit, but overall fit well Cons: - uneven seams Overall, don't expect a polo shirt that just fits just fine, but a rather slightly athletic shirt that shows off your body more. While I'm sure this is a great golf shirt, we got it as part of a charter school uniform, and it's perfect for that. I mean, it's not exactly formal attire, but it is a great shirt for someone who wants to feel casual without looking too casual. It's dark; we got the navy blue color, which looks blue in the pictures but is almost black when worn. And it's comfortable, well-made, and true to size. The fabric has a slight texture to it, and it's thicker than some shirts, but it's moisture wicking, so it'll work well in warm and cold weather. Read more
