I honestly didn’t expect to love this as much as I do, but Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel has become a must-have in my routine. My skin gets extremely dry (especially after showering and during colder weather), and this is one of the only products that actually makes a noticeable difference. The texture is rich but not greasy, and it melts into the skin beautifully. I love that it gives my skin a soft glow without feeling sticky. After using it consistently, my skin feels so much smoother, more hydrated, and way less flaky, especially on my legs and arms. A little goes a long way, and the moisture lasts all day. If you struggle with dry skin, I 100% recommend trying this — it really feels like a luxury product. Read more

Okay so I got this as a gift. I've used bio oil before for my stretch marks so I figured a trusted brand like this I'd trust on my skin. At first I was weirded out by the jelly like consistency (as I'm used to Tallow creams, they're very heavy.) -and how tiny the jar is. BUT after applying and rubbing it into my face I realized less is more! (It also says on the box to use less than you would to apply a cream) Maybe a finger would be okay as it glides everywhere with ease. It looks like jelly but sits like an oil. It feels so light weight and refreshing i was shocked. It gave me the glass skin effect i didnt know i needed. I'm in love with this stuff. It has a light aroma similar to vix but not irritating. I'd def purchase again. Read more

this is a consistent buy for me. i have purchased this repeatedly prior to, during and after my second pregnancy and will continue to. i use more than is probably recommended or even necessary but it has substantially diminished my few stretch marks. i use this on my elbows, knees, heels and any other particularly dry areas. the consistency is superior, the perfect combination of gel and oil without staying greasy. the thickness is also perfect- creamy and easy to spread without it being too thin. it doesn’t have much smell but it does smell good, powder-y. plus its a super cute translucent pinky color. with how little you really need to use and how strong the product is i would say its a great value. i use a lot and a jar will last me a few months. As moisturizing products go, I love how well this works. It spreads easily, a little goes a long way, and the skin feel is really nice if you don’t mind a more oily application (definitely leave a little time for it to absorb before you get dressed). It’s my first gel body moisturizer, so I don’t have any direct comparisons to make, but it definitely works better and the hydration lasts longer than standard lotion products I’ve used. It doesn’t stay greasy the way coconut oil, shea butter, or cocoa butter do on my skin. I know people are hating on the packaging, but a flip-top lid is easier to wrangle than a twist-off tub. It’s also easier than a tube/bottle because I can just leave it sitting open on the counter during application and I don’t have to handle the tub with greasy hands to get more out. So, lots of positives. HOWEVER. The powdery fragrance, to me, is so awful. With all love and respect to my matriarch elders, I feel like I smell like an old lady from the 90s when I wear this (though, in fairness, the scent doesn’t really linger too long). If you like the smell of their regular skincare oil, you’ll be fine - it’s the exact same scent. I like the smell of their natural oil product SO much more, though. The oil isn’t as convenient to apply, but the moisturizing effects seem to be pretty much the same. If Bio-Oil ever comes out with a fragrance-free version of this gel, I’ll never use another body moisturizer again! Read more

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unique texture and amazing for post-shower moisture I really love this body oil. What makes it different is the gel-to-oil texture. It comes out as a gel but quickly melts into a smooth oil when you rub it into your skin. I like to apply it right after my shower and really slather it on while my skin is still slightly damp. It absorbs nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and glowing without feeling overly greasy. A little goes a long way, and the texture makes it feel a bit more luxurious than a typical body oil. I enjoy trying skincare products like this and would definitely be interested in trying more products from this brand in the future. Read more

As a gel girl, I’m loving this era. I’m 60 and still a skincare fanatic. What I’ve loved about this gel era is that I use them as a morning-refresh moisturizer, or a quick light mid-day moisturizer. They allow me to stay hydrated, but not as heavily moisturized as I am at night. My current OG gel moisturizer remains Belif Aqua Bomb - this Bio Oil brand gel did not knock her off the throne. Belif is $52 however for 3.37 oz pot and I rip through her because it’s such a delight to smear her on. Thought I would give this Bio Oil gel a test run because I love the brand, I love the fragrance of bio oil, I’ve used it for years - thought I would try to price beat the Belif. However this product held no magic. It's just Bio Oil in gel form. Exactly as they market it, so no disrespect at all. It’s lovely. But it doesn’t absorb like other gels - it just stays an oil on your face. So maybe nice for some of you who want to sleep in it. But it gets my very lowest mark for a unique data point I’ll call eye-drift. It slowly works its way into my eyes. No thank you. Such a pretty pink color and sweet familiar smell. Wish I loved it.
