Being pregnant I wanted something without retinol. I had the original kind of this oil and loved it but the natural has been fantastic as well. No skin irritation, moisturizes my skin and helps me not over think my stretch marks coming in from pregnancy. Nice glazed appearance too. Really makes my skin glow! I've been using Bio-Oil for a while and I'm very satisfied with the results. It absorbs well into the skin without feeling greasy and leaves my skin soft and hydrated. I had a cosmetic procedure done resulting in a pretty large incision that needs healing. After the initial phase where the wound is no longer scabbed and is just a scar, my surgeon recommended this to help with the remaining inflammation, redness, and minimization of the scar. The oil itself is very pleasant. Has a slightly floral and spicy aroma that fades quickly. All very natural. It soaks in well and seems to soothe my skin almost immediately. Even after the first day it seems to have made a difference. I'm also going to take this opportunity to see if it'll fade my stretch marks. So glad they offer this option without a fragrance added. More products need to take notes. I'll update this review after the results are more noticable. I'm planning on using this in tandem with a silicone allantoin gel to really tackle the scarring. I am a guy, and I use this after "man scaping" - shaving down there, for the rest of you. I apply a thimble full, or so, to the shaved area, and follow it with IPA (70% alcohol), and it has significantly reduced red bumps and the alcohol drives the oil into the hair follicles, eliminating ingrown hair issues. If you shave, and have ingrown hair issues, following that regimen will help significantly. By keeping the follicle lubricated, there is less of a chance for the sharp end of the hair strand to turn and grow into the follicle opening. I do not shave every day, and on the days off, after showering, I still apply the oil and IPA in the same manner, to prevent any issues. Very effective, leaves a great appearance and smoooooth skin! I would give this an even higher rating if I could! I was blown away with the results after 3 months. I’m a mom of 2 who had stretch marks everywhere, and this oil has not only nourished my skin but my stretch marks have become less noticeable that even my husband made a comment about the difference. Body oil of any kind normally leaves my skin and clothes feeling gross. My skin breaks out, my clothing clings to me, and even under my finger nails gets gross. THIS is not like that at all. It goes on like a body oil (a little goes a long way and it smooths over the skin well). However, it dries quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft and fresh. I feel fine putting my shirt/bra on right after applying, and would guess it dries to the touch in open air within about 15 minutes. It does have an unusual odor/scent, but after using for a few days, it doesn't bother me. And I currently have a bionic sense of smell. I'm 12 weeks pregnant and despite gaining no weight, my belly and breasts have grown considerably. I have very sensitive skin and was concerned about using this, but I've had no reactions (ie: acne or nickle-related rash). I've used this 7 times on my belly and breasts and it looks like I haven't used any (see picture). Just a few drops go a long way, and I expect this bottle to last months, even using twice a day as directed. I should also mention that using a normal body oil more than once between washings would absolutely feel like overkill. It would suffocate the skin. However, this is very lightweight and feels fine to reapply. I still have some time before I can speak to its impact on stretchmarks, but I'll be sure to come back and update if I notice any issues. I wish I had a before and after to show how good this is. Last year I had a mole removed. The removal left a deep and very noticeable scar. I have been diligently applying the oil once and a day and a year later the scar is barely noticeable. One of the best skin care products I’ve ever bought. Read more
