I bought these for the experience, since everyone was talking about them I wanted to try it out. The mask was fairly easy to apply. It was a bit flimsy and tore in one spot but that doesn’t change the outcome. I was worried it would slide around once on, but it stayed in place well. It was a bit uncomfortable as it dried, kind of itchy feeling. It hardened completely within an hour and once dry it wasn’t uncomfortable. I was able to leave it on for a few hours. I bought the four-pack and shared it with my husband. Using a hydrogel mask was an interesting experience; on my first try, the mask actually tore when I took it out, but by the second use I got the hang of it. I wore it overnight for about eight hours, and my skin looked noticeably more dewy and refreshed in the morning. I later read that wearing a mask for that long may not be ideal for oily/acne prone skin because it can trap assess oil and clog pores, but so far, after two uses, it seems to be working ok for me. I might try another Biodance mask next time, just not the pink one. Read more
I have tried all four versions of this mask and I LOVE them all! I've been using them 1-3 times a month for about 6 months, and I feel like my skin is more plump, well-hydrated, and the texture has improved! I have acne and rosacea prone skin, and these are super gentle! I generally use them the same night I use my weekly retinoid treatment and it helps me avoid dry, flaky skin while still gaining all of the benefits of the retinol treatment. I always use them on long flights. Sometimes I use them just for a refresher... they are cooling on the skin for the first couple of hours, which is really nice on my redness-prone skin! The effects last several days, especially when the atmospheric humidity isn't low. There's not much of a smell at all, and they're easy enough to use! I was surprised with the noticeable hydration this mask provides and how soft my skin was afterwards. My skin was glowing after I took the mask off and I could some improvements with my pores. After opening the package I was expecting this to be dripping off my face but there is some kind of magic that once it’s on my face it stays in place and the moisture from the mask stays between the mask and my face. These masks are THE BEST!! Leave it on overnight, you won’t regret it. The trick is to let it “set” before you head to bed. The mask is fairly slippery when you first put it on, but after about 15-20 minutes, it stays put. When you wake up in the morning, the mask is transparent. These masks are scentless. They cool until they completely dry. The serum penetrates deeply into my skin, giving me refreshed, bright skin even when my skin before treatment is very dry. I have sensitive skin and have had no problems using these as part of a routine skincare program and their price relative to similar products is comparable.
