Arrived timely and the package was in good condition. I was familiar with the previous style of curettes which are straight and very nice to use. This curved “clear look” style works fairly well but I prefer the straight style because to me it illuminates the ear canal better. Still the product allows for removing ear wax efficiently and you can avoid a doctor visit to do that. I do suggest you check out what an ear drum looks like in the ear canal before using on someone to avoid damaging the drum by inserting the instrument too far In the ear canal. Read more
This is a great set of ear wax remover tools. Simple yet effective. Basically, there is a handle with a light source that channel focused light into the ear cavity to show what you are working with. There are 50 disposable clear plastic tool tips as well as a magnifying glass tip that clips on. It works well and the tips are all individually wrapped. Nice kit. Read more

My wife and I love this product. After years of q-tips we have finally found a better alternative. It’s so much easier to use than one of the cleaners with a camera on the end. We suggest trying it if you’re an ear cleaning couple. Read more
Bionix - ClearLook Lighted VersaLoop Ear Curette Tool, Earwax Removal Tool, Helps Remove Wax Buildup, Comfortable Handle Design, Easy-to-Use, Ideal for Healthcare Providers, Single-Use (50 Count) $94.95 This is a neat tool!! I used this on my husband's ears to look side. It is priced a little on the high side but maybe that's just what these cost. This is my first time using this tool kit. It is a bit strange to use at first. It took me quite a few times to figure it out. I was extremely nervous to use it and didn't even try to get the wax out because I was too scared. It was a good tool for me to be able to look inside with a clear view of whats going on but I'll leave the cleaning to his ENT doctor. Read more
This is a good idea, but poorly executed. You get a light, a magnifier and fifty plastic curettes, all of the same style. If you want any of the spoons or other styles you have to order those separately. All of the parts are made of cheap plastic. I don't see how that is any gentler on the ear than stainless. And with stainless you can clean and sterilize it instead of throwing the curettes away like they say to do after each use with this set. To make it work, you insert a curette into the light source and twist to lock it into place. There is no on/off button; the light comes on when the curette is inserted and does not go off until it is removed. The instructions mentioned nothing about replacing the light source battery when it wears out, and I saw no way to get the unit apart for battery replacement. I guess you're suppose to toss it and get a new one when that happens. The curettes come in two tear open plastic bags. It would make a lot more sense to put them in zip top bags. They are not sterile. The magnifying glass is not very useful. Our grandson has very waxy ears. The curettes did not seem to remove much wax. They got some, but slid through most of it. An ear spoon would have worked better. I ended up using an oiled cotton swab and my reading neck light to get most of the wax, then used the curette, along with my reading light again, to tidy up a few loose bits. I felt I needed more light than was provided by the device. The instructions say to use an otoscope before and after using the device to see what needs to be cleaned out and if you got it all. I would say if you had a large, dry chunk of wax in there this might help. For general cleaning, it's not much help. The price of $94.95 must be a joke. The quality of this device in no way justifies that. I would say $15, maybe $20 at most. I was certainly expecting a lot better quality for the price. I hate to give a bad rating to a US made product, but this just isn't that great, especially for the price. Read more

There's definitely a learning curve with these. It took a few tries to even see the wax, never mind removing it without hurting the person's inner ear. They have ones that use your smart phone to give you a good view into the ear and see the wax to remove it. I would look into one of them as they surprisingly around the same price as these. My experience using this tool has been ok. I am able to help remove the wax build up from my oldest sons' ears using the items that come in the kit, however, I personally find that visibility is still an issue for due to the size of his ear canals and excessive draining issues. I will probably just move in the direction of using an app-based otoscope and stainless instruments due to the increased visibility and ability to reuse other this product though. Read more
