This was my first Birkenstock purchase and I am not disappointed. The size conversion was spot on for me. They are very comfortable and the design of the foot bed provides good support in all the right places. I was worried that the cork would be unforgiving when walking (e.g., very stiff and unyielding), but they are not. The top straps are adjustable, which is nice. I wore these with wool socks but plan to wear them without socks when the weather warms up a bit and I still have room to adjust them down to compensate for that. Birkenstocks are the best shoes made. I can get a pair put them on and wear them right away without time to break them in. They last for years and are worth the price. In my opinion birkenstocks are the nicest way to treat my feet. I've bought several pairs from Amazon over the years - trick is to get your size right and you'll never look back. Read more

On my third pair, that's how much I like these sandals. Talking about Arizona Birkenstocks - Habana Leather. The cork footbeds are comfortable in my opinion. Even though they are quite expensive, I think they are worth it. One pair lasts me about 4 years before the soles wears down. My only complaint about this pair of Birkenstock's is that they seem to expect my already wide feet to be slightly wider than they are! I wish I could buckle them down just a tad more. However, when I wear them with socks (which I do frequently), they fit perfectly. Love these, wore them all summer, and definitely plan to purchase another pair eventually! Read more
I was very pleased to see that these are the ORIGINAL type of Birkenstock. I'd seen some in shoe outlet type places, but there was a fabric type lining on the underside of the leather (surely to separate after a couple trips through water!). Read more
Started out great but after 6 months the cork has worn down so much they don't really fit and sometimes seem to cause a trip Hazzard. The pair I had years ago seemed to wear a little better and I don't think this expensive pair will last longer than a year. Really expected slower wear and a better fit after 6 months. Maybe a thicker cork sole is needed? Can't tighten the straps any further. I wanted to love these! Read more
I love my new Birkenstocks! It's so refreshing to have shoes where the "regular" is actually wide enough for my foot. They have great support, and they're definitely comfy. One minor complaint is that the cork already seems a bit damaged from normal wear. Read more
