i have used the crap out of this thing since ive gotten it and it works great only thing that seems to go wrong on it right off the first cleaning was the painted on white dot that marks where your knob temp is at basically wiped right off lol...kinda sucks but not a big deal lol...the product is still a great product i have no complaints other then that it does what it is supposed to do...keep in mind i have only used it at lower temps have not used at high temps..so no idea how it holds up there..i mainly boil water or cook an egg or something on it..nothing to major..but for what i use it for its great and i would highly recommend for the price...will buy again when comes time or better model by then lol.. Worked quite well. Some reviewers said the lower burner did not heat up well. I found the opposite to be true. Both burners heated up quickly and gave a wide range of temperatures. I could bring 4 quarts of water to boil on high heat in 15 minutes which was much better than I expected for such a small, reasonably priced item. I think it will also work well for gatherings, extra burners, etc. Light weight and very dependable for 2 months of remodel. Very pleased with performance. Read more
I can't say I blame it for quitting. I got this at the very end of December. It is now April 19th and the hotter burner shined gloriously bright. I turned off the heat because it began turning YELLOW not red like normal and I thought it was gonna burst into flames. But alas, when I tried to turn it back on, she wouldn't heat up. The smaller, much less useful burner works still but after using this every day exclusively for about four months, its basically dead. I would say half dead but that smaller burner isn't good for cooking much. So why four star rating? Because I abused the crap outta this little cooktop feeding my family of six with it. Four months of HARD use is, IMO, great for a cook top this cheap. Now will I get it again? Maybe someday when my primary cooking element is my stove and not an electric cook top... But this will give you years of use for occasional use for such a small price. Until we meet again. RIP. So Pros: -Cheap -Lasts four months worth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner cooking so for the occasional use it'll last a LONG time. -Gets really hot fairly quick for an electric cook top. -Easy to use -adequate space between burners for two pots or pans -hides dirt well lol Cons: -obviously not good for heavy everyday use -grates do not lift for cleaning -numbers on knobs wore off quickly -for some reason easy to forget it's still on (may have to do with lights cycling on and off) Conclusion: excellent price for an excellent cook top for years of OCCASIONAL use, but not a good cooktop for long term heavy use. 2 months of about daily use and dead, opened it up and I ain't no scientist. No clue what's wrong. So 2 months $20; $10/month. For those 2 months this product did its job. It doesn't really have different heat settings, what it does is turns on and starts heating the coil and then stops once it gets to the desired heat setting and turns off, and turns on again after awhile. The heat knob shows 1~6 so if you set it at 3 it'll turn on with 6 in mind and once it feels like a 3 it turns off. Difficult to clean under the heating coil because it's like screwed down or whatever. I would not recommend this specific product to anyone, in the world, ever. It looks really fun to destroy with a baseball bat, can't wait! Read more

I bought this double burner to supplement my stove cooking Thanksgiving dinner. :) Reading the description will tell you that one burner is 1000W and the other is 500W. The 500W is basically for keeping things hot. I got it in the mail today just as expected - very prompt delivery. Unboxing it, I inspected it thoroughly and found no flaws. As the manual instructed I plugged it in and turned it on high for 5 minutes to burn off anything that may have gotten on it in the factory. I suggest doing this on your stove under the fan, as I had a little smoke, but nothing serious at all. After 60 seconds there was nothing more to burn off and the elements heated up quickly. The left side was red hot and the right was just barely pink but putting off a decent amount of heat. After 5 minutes I turned the knows all the way down. While the control knob does not say "Off" it cooled down completely. The manual does say that it should be unplugged immediately after use though. I am very happy with this purchase so far and will update this review after I use it to cook on thursday! :) Read more
I bought this for my travel trailer so I could cook without using the propane stove. Using it for a few days it has worked alright; cooks things and gets hot quick, but it does struggle to boil water in a big pot. It'll do it, but it takes a lot longer than everything else. If you're patient though it's no problem. There was some smoke upon first turning on, but once it burned away its been clear since. I'm not amazed by this product but I'm happy enough that it gets the job done. Read more
