Soft and Warm, better than my Blackstrap balaclavas
I have a number of balaclava facemasks from Blackstrap but this is my first tube mask from them. I think I found my new favorite face cover! It stays in place over your ears and face while riding better than I thought. The inside is super soft and cozy against your face. It’s not always cold enough to need to cover the top of your head like a balaclava does, especially while wearing a helmet. That’s one of the reasons this tube face mask rocks! Fun design for useful ski gear
Bought one for our trip to Brekenridge in February. Kept my face warm and wasn't too bad with fogging up the visor. The inner material was soft to the touch and it didn't feel clammy even after spending all morning on the slopes. Read more

Keeps your mug and neck warm
The Apex tube is a good balance of warmth and breathability. The exterior is a very smooth, almost buttery face fabric, with a soft light fleece lining that extends over the edges for a comfortable fit under snow goggles. It fits snug around your face and I found the fabric can get into your mouth a little when talking, like most other neckwarmers. Because it's a tube, the fabric can move up and down, so after my first day using it I found that it has almost turned inside out from moving it up and down all day. Once I figured out to keep the upper seam at the top, it works great. It's warmer than the thin buff tubes but no so ridiculously hot as the full fleece neckwarmers, which I find stifling. I try to wash it each day after wearing it so it doesn't get moldy or gross (pro tip: use a hairdryer or portable boot dryer for drying wet ski gear overnight). Read more
