Blink Mini - Compact indoor plug-in smart security camera 1080p HD video night vision motion detection two-way audio

I have a cabin that is located in a small town ( that is being generuse pop about 100) on the Canadian border.. Because of the remoteness I wanted some form of security and monitoring system, fortunately the area has internate service. I went to Amazon to see what was available at a reasonable cost for indoor plug in cameras. There were a number of brands including Rink which I use at home. Then I ran across Blink, I liked the style and the reasonable price of the Mini compact indoor plug in camera and the Mini indoor Pan-Tilt rotating camera. Also the yearly subscribtion which would cover an unlimited number of devices and has a number of services : 1. Motion activate notification by cell phone 2. Extended live view, continuous for 90 minute 3. Live view recording 4. Unlimited cloub storage of videos for 60 days and a number of others services, all for about $120 a year as compared to one device coverage for about $40 a year. Since I was going to have more than 3 devices or cameras I took the Blink Plus plan. As far as connecting the cameras to the internet just follow the directions and in about two minute your camera will be on-line. Then you can adjust the setting for each camera for motion detection area, sensitivity and other features. The camera have a good quality picture on my Iphone. The cameras have worked fallessly for the last 3 years. Because of the remoteness of the area, there are numberous power outages. When the internet comes back on the camera have always come back on too. when you are serveral hundred milec away you just can not drop by and reset the cameras. I check them all the time on my Iphone thru the BlinkApp, make setting adjustments, review video clips we no problems. The Blink Mini is super easy to set up — it connects to WiFi fast, and I had it running in just a few minutes. The video quality is surprisingly good for the price, and I like that I can check everything right from my phone. The downsides: you pretty much need a paid membership to get all the features, which is annoying. Also, the live feed runs a few seconds behind real time, so there’s definitely a delay. Have a Blink camera system in my home and bought these to add for additional coverage. They're affordable and function great! Once plugged in and connected to home wifi (easy to do), they offer good visibility during daylight or nighttime hours. While they're not "pan and tilt (or zoom)" cameras, they can be positioned easily by swiveling and/or tilting the camera on its stand to get the view you want, and depending on your setup and customization, you can get notifications when the camera is triggered by motion and/or video clips can be saved. Occasionally, I have used the app remotely to speak to someone and the sound quality in the speaker and the mic sound pickup is pretty good. These are a good value for the price and can give you peace of mind if you want to keep an eye on your pet or your home when you're not there. Read more
