I bought this outdoor floodlight when one of my Schitzu fell in the pool. Thank goodness I had lowered the water to the third step in the pool and he didn’t drown. I was so frightened because three of my Schitzu like to walk the edge of the pool deck. I put a strong temporary mesh fence around the pool deck. I bought the outdoor floodlight as an alarm. It works perfectly. It faces my pool and gives me a very clear picture the pool when my Schitzu’s trigger the camera. Best purchase I could have made to alleviate my anxiety. I've had Blink cameras at my cabin for many years. I had an old outdoor cam in my driveway, and with all of the great wildlife it picked up I thought I'd get the floodlight to get better pics and videos. So I purchased one two years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The flood light, the entire reason I got this one, keeps disconnecting and going inop. Then the camera goes offline. When I called support they said no problem, this was an infrequent problem and is easy to fix, just delete the camera and reinstall on the app. OK, how do I do that via the app?....oh sorry, you can't; you have to be in person. Not so easy as the camera is at my cabin, almost two hours away, and we are only up every two to three weeks. So, next time I was up to the cabin, I did as they said and it reconnected. Went back home and not even two days later it disconnected again. Three weeks later I'm up there again, and delete and reinstall. Lasted three days then disconnected. Next time up replaced the batteries...two years my a**...and it worked again...for a week. Next time up replaced the batteries in the camera and the floodlight. Lasted two weeks and then dead. Each time, the system says the battery level is OK and the WiFi connection is max. In all of the years we have used Blink products, the Outdoor 4 Spotlight is the only one that has ever had an issue. @Blink, unless you can provide a fix for all of us that have suffered through this mess of a product, you need to recall them and refund our money. Works phenomenally and I feel so much more at ease knowing it’s set up and working! The video quality is clean, it has surprisingly great connecting, even in my older home, the battery so far has held out great, and the brightness and night vision works well and can be easily adjusted! Read more

12/24/2025 Nice option to illuminate a dark area. Battery life is not as good as advertised, but tolerable. The camera mount is the weak link in an otherwise great design. I have 3 of these, one broke the camera mount and is useless for anything other than extra parts. The two working have been flawless since they were originally set out. Read more

I can't say enough good things about the Blink products. They are well designed, work perfectly and are easy to set up. I left ADT and installed these. I installed this on the back of my home and it covers a wide area. Note, that you have to arm it in the Blink program once installed or the motion detector will not turn on the light. You will love them. Read more

EDIT: 12/8/25 Amazon Support Team contacted me after seeing my review and sent me two new replacements. I don't know what they updated on these units but the new lights LIGHTS WORK. The ON/OFF buttons finally appeared in each camera's settings and the buttons work. The motion sensor works too. Than you Amazon support! ------------------------- I researched the heck out of this. Troubleshooted, Chatted with tech help, poked just about every setting, reset sync... nothing worked. The camera works fine but the security lights never work, even though when setting up the camera and lights, the lights do blink when you reattach the battery pack. It turns out that a recent update killed the security lights. You can walk past at night, nothing. You can press the ON light button in settings, nothing. And there is no way to manually roll back the update! Only thing to do is wait until Blink makes a new update to fix this. I'm not holding my breath. Read more
