Nice looking, cheap quality- be wary of price point

Rene GraysOctober 1, 2025

I bought these for fall/winter work shoes. I wanted something without a high heel height and good for inclement weather. I am giving 4 stars because I got these on discount ($50). If I paid full price, probably only 3 stars for value not aligning to price point. The weakness of these shoes is the feeling of the sole. It’s cheaper feeling than my other Blondo shoes, it’s not super supportive. I find when I’m standing in them for a long time my existing knee pain flares up a bit. If you don’t need a supportive shoe, then it may not bother you. I own boots in the same retail price range ($150) that are much higher quality in the sole, so please be aware. I don’t imagine these lasting a super long time if I get enough steps in them. As for positives- the back is elastic, so you can slip them on without unzipping which is great. And I presume it will offer the weatherproof benefit Blondo is known for (haven’t tested in rain yet). I wear 8 and found these true to size. These are not narrow, but they’re on the edge (I tend to get ingrowns and can feel a slight compression of my big toe walking in them since the toe is a little rigid, so if you have a wide foot, be aware. Photos are of me trying them right out of the box. **Update: taking away another star because less than two months into wearing, already I can hear the left sole creaking like it’s coming apart. The construction quality just isn’t on-par with Blondo in the past. Disappointing. Read more
