This LED aquarium light is a good addition to a fish tank. The illumination is bright and evenly distributed, which will enhanced my plant growth while creating a natural, vibrant environment for my fish. Thanks to the compact, lightweight design, it fits perfectly above the tank with zip ties! I also appreciate how energy efficient it is. It runs cool, uses very little power, and still provides excellent brightness for long-term use. Reason for minus one star, is the seller needs to fix their typo mistake saying this item is multi color, when it is actually just one solid blue color. I was wanting an aquarium light for my 2 1/2 gallon hospital fish tank, and thought this would be good to give it some light. The description for this light says "Blue Light Small Aquarium Led Light, Multicolor Led Fish Tank for Freshwater Plants Aquarium Accessories". So I figured that it would be blue with other colors, especially since it says the light is good for fish and plants. What I got was big disappointment in a tiny light. Ok, first the light is blue. That is the only color. There is no multicolor, as anyone can plainly see from the pictures. When I first ordered this light, I could see on the product page that it was a piece of strip light that had been cut and attached to a plastic holder, and connected to a power cord. I Understand all that. What I wasn't prepared for was the reality of this light. There is no way to attach it to the fish tank. No suction cups, no hooks, and no way to add my own anything to secure it to my fish tank. I tried setting it on top of my fish tank, but it is so lightweight that it kept flipping over. There is no power switch, just plug in and unplug. Getting to my power source for my fish tank is out of the way, so having to plug it and unplug it to use it is super inconvenient. The light strip that is glued into the plastic piece is only glued in place on either end of the strip, leaving the middle of the strip light exposed to the elements, so it isn't at all water resistant enough to be around water, and is something I don't understand. The glue they used to attach it to the plastic piece looks to be silicone. The makers could have easily just glued the length of this 6cm/ 2.36in light strip making it waterproof. The sad thing is I am never going to use this, and will end up throwing it away, because I don't know anyone who would actually want this. Read more
