Blue Ridge Koi Fish Food 14lb - Koi Food 3 16 Platinum Pro Formula Goldfish Food Premium Fish

I lost most of my Koi's last year and had to restart with a batch of 5 inchers. I've had good luck with TetraPond brand but those sticks are a bit big for my small koi's. I looked that the nutrition content of the Blue Ridge platinum and I'm blown away. 41% protein is pretty much tops in any Koi food. I bought the 14lb and it came in a nice 5 gallon bucket that is resealable It came quickly. The pellets are small. My fish seem to like them. No problems with fouling the water. What really impressed me is how quickly my koi's grew. We have pretty short summers here and all the koi's grew 3-4 inches so far! And their colors are stunning! I'll be sticking with this food for a while. My only concern is that the pellets are small. They are fine for now but my biggest koi's are about 12 inches now and the pellet seems really small for anything much larger. I wish there was an option for bigger pellets. Read more

This is my second 5 gallon bucket of food. Three koi ponds. I’m new to pet koi and soooo in love! My koi are growing crazy fast!!!!! It’s insane! Their colors are gorgeous. They absolutely devour this food. I’ve read that koi like different treats (melons, cheerios, honey, etc)…. I’ve tried offering these things but my koi refuse anything else of this food is thrown out! (And to note, my bluegill in another pond prefer this food. I have watched them take a piece of other good food and “chew” it for a couple of seconds and then spit it out. They usually will just swallow this food if they get a piece. And will swim past other foods to eat this food)…. My really big koi in another pond prefer other fish food. Which is bigger in size. But that’s what I started them on before I realized there is actual koi food. I love this food. Read more
