Headband is very comfortable. Love the different brightness and red light settings. Great for anyone working at night or in low-light settings. My day starts before daylight, and I regularly forget that it’s still on my head by mid morning. I seldom recharge because the batteries last so long. Solid quality, great purchase. Read more
I’ve been using these headlamps for approximately 3 weeks now, and here is what I think this far: Performance & Battery: The light output is very good and covers exactly what you need. I get about 3 hours of continuous run-time on a single charge. On the charger they go from empty to full in about an hour. Pro Tip on Battery Life: Pay close attention to the blue indicator lights! When the battery gets near the end, the light will start to shut off randomly. If you keep an eye on those LEDs, you won’t get caught in the dark unexpectedly, like I did while working in a storage unit. A Note for Mechanics: If you are working under a vehicle, be very careful with the motion sensor feature. It's handy for most tasks, you should keep it turned OFF when you’re under a transmission or unbolting heavy components. If the sensor triggers and the light cuts out while you're mid-task, it can be a safety hazard. Almost got punched in the face by a driveshaft when I unbolted the u joint and the light figured there was not enough motion to detect. Overall: Great value for the price, especially when compared to the prices in the stores. The design is solid, and they don't feel like cheap light. They are pretty well made. As long as you manage the motion sensor settings based on your environment. Read more
Unbelievable product for the cost. This headlight is just the right size with a very comfortable adjustable headband. More than bright enough spot and or flood light for every task one would need a headlamp for. Great features such as a dimmable main spot beam, easy to find top power and function buttons, full 30 degree tilt adjustment, light weight, durable, and offers quality long rechargeable battery time. Better than most other inexpensive headlamps, for one basic reason. Its brightness is continually variable. Its brightness is continually variable, where the others I tried, have fixed brightness settings, mostly too bright, and are not good for reading in teh dark - too bright. And, a 6000K color temperature is not good for reading. Can be used for reading in the dark on the dimmest settings. Battery life seems to be better than others when compared with other inexpensive headlights, especially with floodlight settings. The spread of the floodlight is excessive for reading, but not so much for campground cooking or under the hood. Spotlight focus is for distance, not closer in, good for finding cats in trees. It does not come on at the previous setting, a minor annoyance. It's dimmable feature outweighs this. The motion shutoff feature is too annoying to be useful. I have tried several inexpensive head lamps, and they are all about the same brightness, regardless of various lumen claims. The images in the Amazon listings for these LED reading and headlamps are doctored, making them useless. Hype, and misleading as well. In my fairly lengthy experience in using headlamps for camping, particularly in dark areas, brightness is not a feature to buy a headlamp by. I have seldom if ever used headlamps at full intensity, or on spotlight mode. Most all Amazon listings for headlamps omit key features that would help to make good buying decisions with, and they all seem to be about the same, with varying features. My previous headlamps were a previous generation made by Princeton Tec, but they are no longer available. They are still my favorite, and the floodlight settings have an even light pattern, with no hot spots. They didn't last forever, but I think 10 to15 years is pretty good. The Griton clip-on book lamp is very good for reading, color temperature is right, about 2700-3500k, and others are probably similar. The Griton warmest color temperature, 1800K, is too yellow for me. While lying down, Its extra weight on the book is enough to notice, making it tiring to hold the book and the reading lamp together, Beam angle is about right, but a little too wide, illuminating a completely dark room. Battery life is far better than any of these headlamps. The few neck lights I've tried are also pretty good for reading, but they won't stay positioned around my neck. because the lexibility of teh frame is limited, and for me, lying down, they don't stay put. Very impressed with these headlamps. Light quality and brightness are fully on par with the big names that are literally 10x the price. Brightness is infinitely adjustable, flood light setting is excellent. Strap is very high quality and comfortable. A little bulky but less so than any light that uses AA batteries.. battery life is a little lacking compared to a black diamond or something, but for a weekend trip or anywhere you can charge every third night or so, this can't be beat. These headlamps are extremely bright and very useful for early morning walks in the woods. I especially like the hand swipe sensor feature, which makes it easy to turn the light on and off without pressing any button. The battery life is impressive and lasts longer than I need. I've been able to recharge it at the end of the day when necessary, but on average it has lasted over two weeks with roughly an hour of use per session. Read more
Picked up this two-pack mostly for late-night stuff around the apartment and walking outside. For the price, I wasn’t expecting much, but these ended up being way better than I thought. Both lamps are bright. The main LED throws a clean beam, and the COB strip gives you a wide flood that’s actually useful. The red light mode isn’t just a gimmick — it’s bright enough to move around without killing your night vision. I didn’t think I’d use it, but I actually do. The straps are soft and comfortable. No slipping, no weird pressure spots. You forget it’s on your head after a few minutes. Battery life is solid so far. I ran one for about an hour straight on high just to test, and it didn’t dim or flicker. USB-C charging is a huge win — no hunting for random cables. If you just need reliable headlamps for home projects, night walks, camping, or emergency use, this set is honestly perfect. Good build, good light, zero drama. Would buy again. Read more
