This is not your typical blow dryer. This Blunova blow dryer is a great newer style blow dryer at an excellent price point. It has a lot of features that your more expensive dryers don’t offer, and a lot of features that they don’t make it clear to you exist when you read all the info. This blow dryer has three wind speed settings, a high heat setting, a low heat, setting a cool setting and a cycle option. I personally don’t understand how the cycle options work and anytime I’ve ever tried to use them they’ve done nothing for me so I can’t review that portion of the blow dryer, but the rest of it I can say I absolutely love. So having three wind speed settings makes all the difference in the world. I wish this also had three heat settings of a high heat, a medium heat, a low heat and a cool shot. Having said that this has a high and low power mode that you can toggle between using the touchscreen on the back of the blow dryer where the light up ring is. So wear a second ago I just complained that there was not a high, medium, and low temperature setting??? Feel free to ignore that because the high and low power settings on this act as an alternative giving you high and low power, high heat and high and low power low heat. So basically you’re getting four temperature settings because of the high and low power options, forcing more or less air out of the dryer at one time plus the three windspeed settings you can also toggle through. This is a total selling feature for me and it should be for you as well. The concentrator attachment works beautifully and magnetizes without a problem. It’s not loose in anyway but it spin easily so when you’re using it to work on your blowout, you don’t have any problems and you will be very happy with the outcome. The cable is plenty long enough for my relatively small bathroom, but I feel like it would be a good size in any bathroom and the included cable management tie makes me so happy. It takes next to nothing for them to add a cable management tie to control the spaghetti of wires that live underneath of your bathroom sink or in your storage closet or wherever you store your hot tools. I’m tickled pink every time I’m able to use an included cable management tie and not have to hunt down one of my own or use a twist tie just to control it. I personally am left-handed and do find that often buttons are in a bad spot for me and I will accidentally hit them causing the settings to change mid use. I did not have that problem with this particular blow dryer and it was very refreshing. After blow drying my hair with this, I found it to be soft and shiny, not rough or dry like the older style dryers do to your hair. It wasn’t too much power and it didn’t cause any tangles. I personally don’t have problem hair and often don’t even need to use the concentrator. I can usually get away with just using the blow dry unit and strictly use the concentrator for smoothing my hair with a round brush after I’ve finished my rough dry. The filter at the bottom of the handle of this blow dryer is something I can’t stress enough to you, needs to be kept clean. These newer style blow dryers have very sensitive filters that need to be cleaned or you will burn up the motors. It’s just the nature of the design and honestly no one wants to start a fire in their bathroom. The filter cover is magnetized to the base and comes off very easily and just as easily snaps back on takes two seconds to clean and maintain. I highly recommend this blow dryer and would definitely be happy to see this as a gift either for the holidays or my birthday especially at such an affordable price point. I’ve noticed a trend of this newer style blow dryer coming down to a more affordable every day price and no longer being in the $200+ range, which is often out of reach for many, myself included. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade but also thinks it’s crazy to spend $500 on a hair dryer. I know that company changed the hair drying landscape but the vast majority of us just don’t have that much to spend on anything that’s not food for the family. This little hair dryer is worth way more than 5 stars!!! It’s so lightweight! My arms don’t tire as quickly when blow drying my hair. It also dries the hair much quicker. I’ve noticed fewer splintends since using this also. I’ve had some of the high dollar hairdryers and they don’t compare to this one. The noise level is so much lower. I don’t get the noise alerts on my watch while drying my hair anymore. The easy of tapping to adjust the heat setting while drying is awesome. AND having a COLD setting. ‘Cold shots’ on other dryers just don’t smooth the hair like a cold setting does. My only disappointment was the lack of attachments. I have curly hair and need a diffuser. It’s taken several attempts but I finally found one that fits the dryer! Hopefully, I can find some other attachments to go with it. Oh! And I’ve had this dryer 4 months now with no issues!!! I much prefer this type of hairdryer over the standard ones I used to use. It's much lighter in weight, which makes it easier to use. Despite that, I've found my hair to dry quicker with this than my old dryer. I also really love that it's a bit quieter, which is great for when you have to use it at night. This was made with good quality material and seems to be really durable. The speed settings are similar to standard hair dryers, but I appreciate how this has more settings for the heat level. It's also much cuter! Overall, I really like this type of hair dryer and I'm glad I made the switch. I've seen similar hair dryers for more expensive, so I think this is great for the price. It is simple to use, lightweight, has a good choice of speed/heat settings, and dried my hair really fast. There is an on/off/speed slide switch and a temperature control push button below that on the handle, which allows you to change the temp by pressing or cycling through temps repeatedly if you hold it down. You can also add or remove the overall speed/velocity of each setting by touching the little circle inside of the lit-up heat display ring (pictured here on low heat (green), medium heat (yellow) and high heat (red). The air intake vent is located at the bottom of the handle, which prevents your hair from getting sucked back into the dryer (those of you with really long hair know what I'm talking about). I also like that the handle is long enough that your hand doesn't accidentally cover the intake vent when in use. The ONLY drawback I found with this unit is that the cord is probably the shortest cord I've ever seen on a dryer. I didn't measure it but it's only about 5 or 6 feet long, so if you're sitting next to the plug in outlet, great, but if you plan on plug this in behind a vanity and run the cord around to the front or something, I'm not sure that would work.
