i chose this grater due to the lower cost as i only needed it to prepare 1 recipe. it is a piece of junk to be frank. the handle does not stay attached to the grater and while attempting to reconnect the connection piece broke off as it is the flimsiest plastic ever. total waste of money unless you need to grate air!! Yes, I would! I love this thing. I don't know if y'all are aware of this, but the shredded cheese in the bag has wood pulp all over it to "prevent caking." Granted, that's probably healthier for you than the dairy itself. I can't help it though, cheese has always been the hardest animal product to walk away from! Moving on, this is super convenient. Quicker than pulling the food processor out or using that god awful cow bell shaped cheese grater. It's just like the cheese graters they use at Olive Garden. Perfect for gradually adding cheese to my carbonara after I've poured the egg. Works great for topping salads and plates. Contrary to my normal advice, this thing is not worth cleaning regularly. Obviously, it's worth keeping clean and temperature safe in the fridge. Trust me, moisture and cheese residue do not clean well no matter how much soap you use. Read more

This is the second order of this cheese grater in the last 4 years. It works well on Firmer cheeses ( Romano works very well; soft mozzarella not as effective). This is a very inexpensive hand grater for the results and durability as we use grater cheese daily on almost everything! Turning the handle to grate is sometimes difficult for some members of the family but I do not have any issues. Comes with different graters for various results in the look / shape of the end product but I tend to use only one. The grater inserts can be difficult to remove. Read more

This lasted about 2 years of casual use. Once the handle on the spinning blade separated that was it. Attempting to fix it was futile. Depending on your cheese grating needs I'd stick with one of the sold all metal kinds or pay a bit more for a more robust grater. If you use it for a lot of soft cheese every once in a while this will be fine. Read more

I don't know why this doesn't have higher ratings. I've used it for years on a regular basis with no problems. It's super easy to assemble...2 or 3 parts that a kid could put together. The handle is easy to turn with your chunk of hard Parmesan cheese inside. As for cleaning I really don't do that much. I keep it in a big zip lock bag in the fridge with my block of Parmesan. I bought this cheese grater with high hopes, but unfortunately, it broke after just one use. The grating surface seemed sturdy at first, but as I was using it on a block of hard cheese, the plastic handle snapped right off. I wasn’t applying excessive pressure, so it seems like the build quality is just poor. I was really disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this product unless you’re looking for something that won’t last. Definitely not worth it! Read more
