These are excellent swim pants, good for rafting, body boards, boating, as well as swimming. The material is mostly nylon just like the nicer swim suits so should be durable and retain its fit due to the bit of spandex used in the blend. I did buy a medium after returning a small. I weigh110 and am 5’3”. These are supposed to be to the waistline but the small only for like hipsters and tended to slide down a little. I typically wear a small or a size 4. Hope this helps! These are awesome for surfing in jellyfish risky waters or to guard against leg rashes from sliding on the board. Also great for surfing mid-day and avoiding sunscreen. I have another pair that cost twice as much, but I prefer these affordable Body Glove capris. They are lightweight, not too hot, don't fall down, look good, and are comfortable.
