I highly recommend this toothpaste since it is healthier for the oral microbiome, tastes great and gives an incredible clean. A good alternative to fluoride pastes. You know that thing at the end of the day where your teeth feel like they are wearing sweaters? After using this toothpaste for about 2 days, I noticed that at the end of the day that my teeth felt incredibly smooth and clean considering I had been eating all day. What is happening here? Amazing! I really enjoy the delicate flavor (lemon lavender and cherry blossom flavors) I brush morning and night and I like that there aren't irritants that make my lips burn and cause lip chapping. Two things to keep in mind: Don't rinse it out. I have forgotten and then have to reapply some paste. I'm sure eventually I will get used to it. It isn't particularly refreshing (these flavors I'm trying) so that is different than the usual pastes. I'm sure I will get used to that as well. I feel as though I need to brush my tongue in the morning though to get rid of morning mouth. I am using a Radius manual toothbrush along with this paste and think they are a good partner. I love that my Radius brush has a replaceable brush head to save on plastic waste. It's too early to speak to whitening but I hear the use of this type of toothpaste naturally whitens. I don't know. Alright, I'll give you the quick and dirty: This stuff is thinner than normal toothpaste and does not bubble as much. This is because it has a different sulfate in it, I think it's a good thing, but some people do not like that. This flavor, Cherry Blossom, is amazing because it's super light and inoffensive. It does not taste like perfume (which I was worried it might) but rather a very very light bubblegum almost? My teeth are clean, I have been to the dentist and no new cavities, so I have no complaints. My little win: My son is almost 5, and autistic, refuses all toothpaste and I mean violently. Watermelon, bubblegum, strawberry, mint. Everything from Hello to Toms to Colgate I mean I have tried everything. Even powder/tablets brands in case it was a sensory issue to paste. I have only been able to brush his teeth with water (which obviously is a problem as he is getting older and I do not want his teeth to rot). Well we got this and he doesn't mind it enough that he lets me brush his teeth with it! I won't say he likes it (also a good thing, I dont want him eating it), but more it does not taste like much of anything to him. I think the issue is all the prior flavors I mentioned are so intense in toothpaste, and this brand (I bought the mint one for myself too) is generally very light tasting compared to traditional toothpaste. But whatever it is, it works, and now my son will brush with some sort of enamel strengthening toothpaste. As expensive as it is, dental work is way more expensive so 5 stars! Read more
Love Boka! Has a variety of different oral health benefits without the added flouride - as some people prefer not to use it. Been using the brand for over a year now and my teeth are as healthy as ever! Helps get a nice, fresh clean and definitely whitens teeth over time with continuous use. The cherry blossom flavor is great! So glad there is finally a flavor other than one with a mint base, that actually has a good flavor! The appearance of it is very cute, I didn’t expect it to taste like a sweet tart but it’s still taste good, the color of is white I was expecting pink tho,I feel like it doesn’t make your breath fresh for too long the smell will fade within 8 minutes. Read more
I’m being very vulnerable with this review because it’s not something I’m proud of but this toothpaste has changed my life. I have ADHD and ever since I was a kid I’ve hated brushing my teeth. I simply just could not bring myself to do it regularly. Even to a point I’ve gagged and thrown up when doing so, especially in the mornings. I always thought it was just toothbrushing itself. I decided to buy this toothpaste out of curiosity, and it made me realize that I never had a problem with brushing my teeth, I simply hated the mint toothpastes and it is why I’d struggled so much. Also the consistency of the toothpaste isn’t a thick paste but more of a thinner gel like texture, which is much better in my opinion. It’s been well over a month and I’ve been consistent since switching to this. Luckily my teeth are pretty healthy even with my struggles prior because of other ways I kept care of them but I’m so grateful that I even thought of testing this out! If you struggle with normal toothpaste or if you’re also autistic or have ADHD, definitely try it. I tried both the cinnamint and the cherry blossom and I love them both. The cinnamint flavor is my favorite and I use it with a cinnamon mouthwash, it doesn’t really have a mint flavor and tastes like cinnamon and clove, I absolutely love it. Really love this brand toothpaste. The flavors are awesome and it makes my teeth feel very clean. I like that there is no fluoride and it does a good job keeping teeth white. Kids love the kid flavors. Cinnamon, mint, cherry blossom, strawberry, and the orange flavors are really good. Read more
I love the Boka toothpaste, especially the mint and lemon, but unfortunately this cherry blossom flavor didn't work for me. It has a strong flavor of cherry cough syrup, which isn't a flavor I enjoy. I did give this away on my local buy nothing group, and the recipient loves it, so at least it didn't go to waste. Read more
