Favorite Flouride Free Toothpaste

Very happy with this toothpaste. Great for gingivitis, sensitive pregnancy gums and teeth and overactive plaque buildup. The taste is very pleasant and the paste itself is light and smooth. I love that this toothpaste is fluoride free and keeps my mouth healthy and happy. Read more

Love boka, but not this flavor

First of all, let me start with the most important thing- if you’re considering switching to a nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste, you’ve already waited too long IMO. I have had extremely sensitive teeth since childhood (think having to curl your lips over your front teeth when you drink a glass of room temp water) and have used a sensitivity, toothpaste, almost as long, with minimal help I found this toothpaste a few years ago when n-Ha was just becoming a thing over here in the US and within a month or two my sensitivity was probably 70% improved, and while I still have a small amount of sensitivity, I’d say at this point it is probably 80 to 90% better- I almost never even notice it anymore. I never had any issues with cavities or anything like that, but I fully believe that it is re-mineralizing and would help someone who is prone to cavities and other things. The added bonus is that while I use whitening strips every now and then, it’s been over a year since the last time I whitened my teeth, and my friends still comment about how white my teeth look, despite being a daily coffee drinker for the last seven years. I’ve tried multiple flavors of Boka and my only qualm is that my favorite flavor so far was only seasonal and is no longer available, which was the cherry blossom (if anyone from the Boca company is reading this, this is an official request for you to please bring that flavor back and keep it!) so I’ll describe the other flavors in more detail: Ela Mint: this was the companies first flavor they came out with as far as I’m aware, and I initially liked it a lot when switching from a regular toothpaste as I still wanted to have that minty fresh taste in my mouth, but this is way more mild than normal toothpaste. It’s just a gentle hint of mint. Very nice if you’re just switching over from a mint toothpaste and are also worried about your mouth not feeling fresh enough. Lemon lavender: I no longer care for a mint flavor and I really like this. It is not tart in any way and tastes more like a lemon custard or lemon yogurt, pretty sweet as well. I don’t really get any notes of lavender when I use it and though lavender should be used sparingly so it doesn’t taste soapy, I would appreciate just a little bit more of the lavender flavor to actually call it lemon lavender. Right now it’s more like the Yoplait lemon yogurt Strawberry basil: I just got this flavor today and I almost considered knocking my review down one Star because of it. When I first put the toothbrush in my mouth, I just got a strong taste of basil and hardly any strawberry. The strawberry came out a little more as I continued to brush, but the basil is just overpowering, and I am not a fan in any way. I ordered the strawberry mango kids toothpaste for my child and I am looking forward to that one when it comes in, glad I ordered a three pack as I think that will be more promising since I like both strawberry and mango flavors on their own, and I may steal one of those tubes for myself Overall: there are so many flavors to try out so you’ll probably find one you like and regardless, this is just short of a miracle product for your teeth. I can’t recommend this toothpaste enough. (But please I do hope the flavors either get tweaked or they bring back the cherry blossom soon!) Read more

Good Taste, but what % of Nano Hydroxyapatite?

I've been using Boka Nano Hydroxyapatite for a several months and it's not bad. The flavor is good and leaves my mouth feeling fresh. It brings a decent amount to last the month. My only concern is that the company doesn't state what percentage of Nano Hydroxyapatite is in the toothpaste, so you have to "trust" their proprietary formula. That's not good enough for me, so I've docked them a star and will likely look for a different brand since my dentist recommends at least 10%. Read more

Sensitive Teeth Approved

I have sensitive teeth. Strong mint formulas made my mouth feel like it was being sandblasted. I just assumed that was normal, but Boka is different. The Mint flavor is soft and slightly sweet. It smells fresh, but it doesn’t burn or overwhelm. I don’t feel that harsh sting on my gums, and I’m not rushing to rinse it out. It’s calm. That’s the best word for it. The nano hydroxyapatite leaves my teeth smooth, like you can’t stop rubbing your tongue against your teeth. It doesn’t foam aggressively. It feels creamy and controlled. As a woman who pays attention to ingredients and tries to be mindful about what I use daily, I like that it’s fluoride free but still focused on strengthening enamel. It feels like I’m caring for my teeth, not just brushing them. Pros • Gentle on sensitive teeth • Leaves teeth smooth • Mint is fresh without burning • Creamy texture Cons • More expensive than basic toothpaste • If you love intense, icy mint, this isn’t that Read more

Clean Ingredients & Leaves Teeth Super Smooth

I really like this toothpaste. It has a clean, mild flavor that isn’t overpowering, and it leaves my teeth feeling extremely smooth after brushing. I switched to this because it’s fluoride-free with nano hydroxyapatite, and I’ve been very happy with the results. It foams nicely without feeling harsh, and my mouth feels fresh without that strong chemical aftertaste some toothpastes have. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a more natural option that still cleans effectively. Read more
