These socks keep my feet very warm when going out in the cold weather. They are very well made and look and fit great, they come up mid calf on me (I am short) but I usually roll 1/2 down when wearing with my boots. They have not shrunk at all since washing, but they do pill quite a bit, which I have never noticed in any of my other socks. When I am home I like to wear them pulled up because they do offer a bit of support for my lower legs which is nice and they do not slide down while walking around my home. They do not cut into my skin, are not tight feeling at all, they just feel great on your legs and feet. I also like to sleep in them to keep my feet warm at night. I ordered a second set for my elderly mother because she is always saying that her feet are very cold, she has poor circulation and these really helped her feet to stay warmer, she liked them as well and said they were real soft. These socks are very warm and cozy, and the fit is true to size. They have just the right amount of stretch, so they stay snug without cutting into my calf, and they’re easy to put on and take off. The look is simple and classic, which makes them versatile enough to wear with almost anything. The downside is that after the very first wash, they started to pill. It doesn’t affect the comfort, but it does take away from the clean look. For the price, I expected them to hold up better than they did, and it feels a bit disappointing that they couldn’t even make it through one wash without showing wear.
