I use these for my pilates classes and I love it! As a girl with big calves (18inch), these are so comfortable because of the loose scrunch. It doesn't cut off my circulation or itch. It's also not too loose to where it feels like it could slip off. They stayed on the entire pilates class. I'm not sure if someone with smaller calves would have issues with how loose or not it may be, but it seems like it have more of a stretch than it being wide. I can also say the foot part is also compressive enough to ensure it doesn't slip off, but not uncomfortable at all.
