This is a really nice, modern light fixture that is relatively easy to instal. That ease is betrayed by not great instructions. Apologies for no in build pictures but because I decided to build this on top of a busy rug the black framing just disappeared. Also, sorry for the mismatched bulbs. Its late on a Sunday and I didnt have 4 E26s that were the same. Build took me about 45 minutes at a deliberate pace. The instructions are REALLY simplistic. Most of the stuff is there but you need to make a lot of guesses. I highly recommend using a ratcheting screwdriver for building this. I usually use a powered screwdriver but between the small size of the screws and the need to align things, a good ratcheting manual is a better idea. You will need both philips and flat head because for some unknown reason all ground screws are flathead. Mine had both right in the handle. Thanks Linus! Once I had it all together, I had to take down the old and get the new one up. That took me another hour but that was because our original 90s builder took every shortcut possible. A few things: - The power wire is REALLY long to accommodate up to a 24" drop from the celling. I only did 6 inches so I had a LOT left over. I used electrical tape to essentially cable mange it in the connecting box. If I ever have to move this I can just cut away instead of needing to carefully separate. - There is no inventory of parts. Take the time to figure out which ones are which before hand. - They provided extras of the most common fasteners and adapters. That was really nice. - The included wrench is complete crap. Hand tight is fine for those bolts. - There are two hinged parts to allow the fixture to move slightly if bumped. The instructions completely whiff on reminding you to align those so that it can actually move. - The do not tell you that you will need to apply pressure and slightly bend the "legs" to get the upper and lower connected. That tension serves a purpose but if you are inexperienced at building these things it can seem like a flaw - in hindsight I wish I had gotten the all black version. I didnt realize the white things were made to look like candles. I plan to replace them. - I dindt realize these took E26 bulbs and I didnt have 4 of them and I did have any clear ones. I have some on order now. Again, this is a really nice lighting fixture. I would say its an OK value. You can find an "upside down" version of this at that famous Swedish place for less. Not much less, but less. Im not upset as I like this style just enough more. Nice product. Read more

I picked this up to replace the b..b light in my entry. It made a significant difference as you can see from the before and free photos. Here’s a balanced list of pros and cons for this industrial-style linear kitchen island chandelier (4 lights, black finish, E12 bulb base): Pros Aesthetic & Style • Stylish farmhouse/industrial look — the black metal rectangular frame fits well with modern farmhouse, industrial, or transitional kitchens and dining spaces, adding visual interest over islands or tables. • Versatile décor match — black matte finish pairs easily with wood tones, stainless steel, and neutral palettes. Function & Lighting • 4-light design gives good illumination for kitchen islands, prep areas, and dining tables when paired with the right bulbs. • Works with E12 bulbs, giving you flexibility to choose warm or cool light, LED bulbs, vintage filament bulbs, etc. Practical Features • Adjustable hanging height — this includes multiple rods to change the drop length for vaulted or standard ceilings. • Hardware included — ships with mounting hardware for easier installation. Relative Value • Compared to more expensive brands, this style sells at a lower price point while still delivering a bold look, making it appealing for budget-conscious remodels. Cons Installation • DIY install needed — as with most hardwired chandeliers, installation requires basic electrical work (turn off power, mount bracket, wire connections). If you’re not comfortable with wiring, you may need an electrician. • Instructions were not clear — making installation a bit fiddly for DIYers. • This fixture is big and cumbersome making installation difficult while on a ladder. I lost my balance a few times. Quality & Finish • It’s generally good for budget fixtures, but metal thickness and finish durability does not match premium brands (e.g., less refined edges or slight finish inconsistencies). • There is less refinement compared with higher-end linear chandeliers (simple sockets with E12 bases rather than integrated glass or decorative shades). Light Bulb Limitations • No bulbs included — you’ll need to buy E12 bulbs separately 40 Watt max. • E12 bases are smaller bulbs — while flexible, they typically produce less light per bulb than larger medium base (E26) bulbs, so you might need higher-output LEDs for bright tasks. Size & Visual Weight • Large rectangle shape — it’s bold and eye-catching, which may overwhelm smaller spaces if you don’t size it right (measure your island length vs chandelier length before buying). • Square or industrial look might not match all interior styles — if your space is very traditional or ultra-minimalist, this industrial farmhouse vibe may feel out of place. Good Fit If You Want ✔ A modern farmhouse / industrial statement light over a kitchen island or dining table ✔ Adjustable height and a rectangular linear layout for even lighting ✔ Affordable option that still looks stylish Might Be Less Ideal If You Want ✘ Premium build quality or designer finishes ✘ Simple plug-in or surface-mount (no hardwiring) lighting ✘ A softer or more traditional light with shades/glass diffusers Bottom Line This BONLICHT 4-light linear pendant is a budget-friendly farmhouse/industrial fixture that’s eye-catching and functional for kitchens or dining areas, with a few trade-offs in finish quality and installation ease compared with more premium lights.
