Is it really "leather?"
I originally bought the Remarkable 2 bundle with the cloth cover, which works just fine. This "leather" case went on sale, and I jumped. It's nice, but there are a few things to note. First, although it says that it is "premium leather," it is hard to tell whether that means "genuine leather" or "real" leather. the material has a very fine grain that looks so consistent and perfect that I think it was printed or molded. It is not in the least bit soft like good leather should be, and it is just as hard as the cloth cover. When I smell it, there is only a hint of leather scent, and that is inconsistent - sometimes it just smells like plastic. Lastly, the wrap around is very stiff. So stiff that you cannot lay the tablet down level when the top cover is folded underneath, which is something the cloth cover does perfectly. Despite that, it looks nice and offers the same protection as the cloth cover. It is certainly functional. I doubt it is going to scratch. Time will tell whether it develops some kind of patina, but I am skeptical. Something tells me that, with a little Windex, it can be refurbished to factor fresh in no time. Read more

A case of mistaken identity
Like a few other reviewers here at the time I was ordering this product I thought I was ordering the tablet, not just a case. Given so many of us did so indicates some issue with clarity in the product description which I sincerely hope has been resolved as these are expensive errors even with our free product that is “only” taxed. I took a while to review this thing as I was hoping I’d eventually get the tablet proper so I could fully review the case, but since I haven’t I can’t do the case itself full justice beyond stating the obvious, that this is a very fine case. I’ll give it 4 stars for being its quality self but no case should cost this much ever unless it’s titanium encrusted in jewels. Read more
