Review for Boolavard Derma Roller Microneedle Roller (0.25mm) - Black I've been using the Boolavard Derma Roller for both face and beard microneedling, and overall, it's been a positive experience. The roller is designed well, and its sleek black finish gives it a professional look. Effectiveness: The derma roller has proven to be very effective. After consistent use, I've noticed improvements in skin texture and beard growth. The microneedles seem to stimulate the skin just right, promoting healthy rejuvenation. Comfort Level: While using it, there's a slight tingle, which is expected with microneedling. It's not uncomfortable, but it’s something to be aware of, especially for first-time users. Overall Rating: I would rate this product 4 out of 5 stars. The roller delivers on its promises, offering noticeable results with minimal discomfort. If you're looking for an affordable and effective microneedling tool, the Boolavard Derma Roller is definitely worth considering. Read more
Very comfortable to use. Makes a great addition to your home skin care routine. Read more
The construction quality was pretty poor. When I received it, some of the tines were bent, so when I tried to use it, it drew more blood than I think they expected. It was fine and did provide some soothing for my beard, but overall, it was a C experience. Read more
This microneedling tool is one step up from the smallest length offered by this brand. I'm not sure that it has a high level of efficacy, but for someone who's newer to micro-needling, it's helpful to progress up to longer needles. It came in a sealed pouch which eliminates any concern of the product being used and returned. I think that's very important and even the instructions say not to share them. I gave it 3 stars because you are supposed to sterilize the needle roller before using (and really should after using). This is a challenge because you aren't supposed to set the roller on any surface because the needles can be damaged. With the design of this tool, there is zero way to put this in any type of sterilizing solution without having it sit on the needles or having a giant container where the roller goes in with the handle at the bottom. I didn't have anything tall enough to submerge the roller with it at the top. I resulted in coating it with an anti-microbial soap and rinsing it for a bit in super hot water. I think they could redesign the packaging where the insert in the storage case was built in a way that could be submerged into a liquid for sterilizing. It would be helpful. This needle length doesn't go very deep into the skin surface (there is no blood so don't freak out with the instructions), and it says to use it like every 5-7 weeks. I think true results are only seen with a deeper needle length, so good to research it before you buy. Read more
Boolavard Derma Roller Microneedle Roller For Face: I am new to microneedling and this is a nice starter piece. The needle is only .25mm, a good size for beginners (I don't even see the needles, and I barely feel them). The instructions explain you will need to use a needle of at least .5mm to be effective on wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. The box includes detailed instructions, including how to sterilize the roller before and after use and how many times to roll it across your skin. When you finish you wash your face to remove all traces of blood, per the instructions, which sounds a little concerning but appears to be normal. I used a very light touch my first time and didn't see any blood. I'll try a little more pressure next time, and try a roller with a bigger needle as I get comfortable with this. Only to be used once a month or so (every 4-6 weeks). It comes in a nice plastic storage case. Read more
I mean its a derma roller, there isn't much to go into its design right? Well they did it. First off the roller is extremely narrow, and its indented inwards giving you an uneven needle puncture on your arm, with me it was showing marks from the left and right edges of the roller but there was no signs of puncture from the center of the roller... Why? Why make it like this? The roller itself is about half an inch wide, very small, so your not going to get much coverage with this unless you do A LOT of rolls. It also comes with a very cheap base which is functionally useless. The top of it doesn't even want to stay on, it comes off when you take it out of the box and you can never actually secure it back down onto the roller. It also has no o-ring or air seal at all to prevent the needles from getting dirty. The roller area on the base isn't even deep enough to use as a alcohol bath for it to disinfect it after use, so I don't see the use for this thing, placing it in a small cup with alcohol might be better. I love micro needling and use a derma roller regularly. I replace them every 8-10 uses so I have tried several different brands. This particular derma roller is cheapy made. The handle is a light plastic. The wheel squeaks. The wheel consists of plates with 'needles' at the end as oppose to a derma roller with individual needles. This die-cut way of making the 'needles' can cause them to be uneven as they are on the one I received. Does it work - Yes. Will it create channels in the skin for product to get down deeper? Yes. Is it worth it to spend the extra money on a better quality derma-roller and not risk damaging the skin? Yes. Read more
