Scents, especially those for men, are a highly individualistic thing. I generally rely on my wife to determine if a certain cologne is right for me. She likes this warm sophisticated amber based Hugo Boss entry into the world of scents for men and I do too. It’s very strong when first applied but soon mellows to a pleasant background aroma. It seems to have great staying power which generally only occurs with the more expensive variety of colognes ( I think that costly Civet oil is used to make it long lasting ). It’s complex and interesting too, to my nose, there’s a hint of citrus as well as bergamot, all in a deep amber base note. Layered and like all scents is complicated by skin chemistry. Often the same cologne will smell very differently on different individuals. I sprayed a tiny amount on my wrist yesterday afternoon to test it out and today it is still lingering quite nicely.
