TLDR version: spend the extra bucks and buy this one for your office. Stapler received today, loaded it up and started stapling. Same noise level as Swingline 45 Pro stapler, and no different than any other mid-duty electric staplers I've owned in the past. I noticed that the two side staple storage trays people have mentioned in earlier reviews don't exist anymore. Must be in a now collector's prior version of this staple, and shown in the 6 year old YouTube video show ability to store 2 full staple refills inside the machine. Store trays are gone now, and inside the machine the plastic black housing is flat surfaced to prevent any stapes storing. OK by me as long the stapler doesn't jam. I was hesitant to purchase this machine because of the "crown" staples that I thought were going to be a pain to keep separate refill box with these "special" staples. However, the crown design isn't too high and left me pondering using them in a regular Swingline 747 stapler. Investigated and discovered crown staples are slightly narrower than plain ordinary 1/4" staples and don't fit in my Swingline 747 manual stapler. In fact, the crown ones fit snugly between the tines of ordinary staples. How's that for TMI minutiae you didn't know you you didn't know :-) That means more staples to store. Oh well... One suggestion I have for the Bostich engineers in their next version update is to add capacity for 3/8" staples to staple in the 60 to 70 page range. OR perhaps there's already a secret link on Bostich website to order 3/8" staples? I haven't explored their website yet. Point of reference for Bostich staplers and me is the model B300HDS manual heavy duty stapler that I bought in 1978. It's still working just dandy, almost beastly in its lasting 47 years stapling tax return sets. If this new B8 Impulse 45 works like my B300HDS, I'll be using it when I'm 117 years old.... As I wrote at the start of my review: buy this one for your office. It's worth the price. Read more
I have had it for a year and it works perfectly. I have had other Bostitch staplers (not electric ones) which were complete junk. This guy works great and has been used a ton of times. No issues whatsoever. I only wish it could find a reliable stapler which works great and can staple more than 50 sheets of paper. I would recommend this stapler. Read more
Product does NOT work. Upon plugging it in, the "on" indicator light turns on BUT try to staple anything and it did not/does not work at all. Shame on you for trying to sell this used product that doesn't work. A simple test staple would've shown it's NOT operational. Returning for refund. Read more

Great stapler and staples thicker batches of papers!! Love the light telling you Staples are low and how easy it is to replace them Read more
I just bought my second one of these staplers. The first one lasted me 5 1/2 years, which is much longer than the 12-18 months my other electric staplers used to last before getting jammed beyond repair. It's a sturdy, powerful stapler and works well for stapling thick stacks of papers, but also works well for light use of 2-3 sheets. Note that it requires special Bostitch crown staples (B8) which come in two lengths. I use the shorter ones for normal use, and switch to the longer length ones when I need to staple thicker stacks of paper. If you use the longer staples all the time, they will poke back up through your papers if you are only stapling 2-3 sheets. Be aware this stapler is LOUD. Prepare yourself for BAM! BAM! Before I bought the first one I read a review that likened the sound to a gunshot. I laughed at the time...but it's kind of true! BAM! Read more
