The media could not be loaded. I love trying different perfumes, and lately I’ve been interested in oil-based scents because I do think they are more skin-friendly. I have been wearing Pink sugar for years and have tried many different inspirations. I was interested to see if this version could help increase the longevity of the original, or surpass it. The ingredients are minimal here, containing safflower oil and fragrance. Despite safflower oil being a heavier oil, this glides on smoothly with the rollerball and there are no problems with dispensing. I like to roll about four to five passes on my skin to get the fragrance level I want. There has also been no leaking, the cap secures well, and the bottle is the heavier glass common with rollerball fragrances. I decided to use the original on one arm and the Botanical Beauty on the other. The original has an initial blast of citrus, and that is aided by the alcohol dispersing the notes quickly. With the Botanical Beauty there is no “blast” and the citrus is more subtle, which I actually prefer. The dry down with the rollerball is also slower because it’s oil-based, but it sinks into the skin in about 20 minutes with a slight layer on top. The sweet, sugary notes come next, and I find the potency to be similar on both. The advantage that the Botanical Beauty has over the original is that it gently holds on to the citrus, and it doesn't flash off quickly. With the original, the citrus evaporates and what is left is the vanilla and sweet notes. Eventually the citrus decreases with the Botanical Beauty, but it lingers much longer. Where these both become indistinguishable, is after about an hour when the sweetness and vanilla remain. After about six hours they are similar and both become a soft skin scent. I do think the Botanical Beauty is slightly stronger after six hours though and for me, is the better scent in terms of longevity. The main difference to me is the stronger citrus in the original. This is the best inspiration-based fragrance that I’ve tried, in both longevity and how closely it matches the original. The oil does linger on the skin and doesn’t dry down as fast as alcohol or even a more lightweight oil would, but it leaves the skin soft and retains the fragrance a bit better than alcohol-based types. I already own and love Pink Sugar, so trying the 10 ml fragrance oil felt like an easy choice --and it did not disappoint. The scent hits you with a bright, slightly citrusy sweetness first that feels fun and uplifting. After a little while it settles into a soft floral mix that keeps the fragrance from feeling too sugary. Then it dries down to this warm, cozy sweetness that sticks around for hours which is my favorite part. What I really like about this oil is how concentrated the it is. You only need a small swipe on your pulse points and the scent lingers most of the day. I’ll catch little hints of it throughout the afternoon, which is always a pleasant surprise. The roll-on bottle is super convenient too. It’s quick to apply, easy to control, and perfect for tossing in a purse or small bag without worrying about spills. The 10 ml size also feels like a great value since it’ll last quite a while with how little you need each time. I also appreciate that it’s alcohol-free, oil-based, and made with skin-friendly ingredients like jojoba oil. It feels gentle on the skin while still delivering a fragrance that’s sweet, playful, and nicely layered. So nice, my girls keep trying to snag it from me! :) If you enjoy warm, candy-like scents that still have a little sophistication to them, this one is a winner. Definitely a fragrance oil I’ll keep reaching for. Read more

If you’re a fan of scents that lean more toward bakery fresh than perfume counter, the Botanical Beauty Pink Sugar Fragrance Oil Roll-On is likely going to make you happy. I love soft scents that I can apply quickly , especially if I just want a little extra scent that smells sweet. This is a perfect addition to my gym bag, before or after working out. It also works great before bed if you want to smell delicious without being overpowering. The oil is soft, sweet, and comforting. It’s a blend of sugar, vanilla, with a hint of caramel. Because it’s an oil it stays closer to the skin, making it perfect for anyone who wants to smell good without announcing your entrance. More of a close up experience. The rollerball makes it incredibly easy to put it basically wherever you want. The oil feels gentle without being drying. It does fade after a few hours, but it’s easy to carry with you if you want to reapply. If you want it to last longer I would recommend pairing it with a vanilla scented cream or spray. I have a vanilla fragrance that I like to pair it with when I’m looking for an extra bit of longevity. I have used this multiple times and there is still almost a full bottle and should last me a long time. For the price you can’t go wrong. Read more

This is a nice fragrance oil with citrusy and floral notes. The pink sugar goes on easily with the roller ball and you can control your level of fragrance by just rolling over the same spot more than once. It’s easy to layer and gives a nice soft, sweet lingering fragrance after it dries on the skin. The oil is pretty concentrated so a little bit goes a long way. I appreciate that it’s free of alcohol and made with safe skin friendly ingredients. This would make a nice gift for younger children as the scent is more sweet and not overpowering. If you’re not a fan of vanilla then avoid this one otherwise you will like it. It’s easy to place on your wrists or neck and lasts a good amount of time. It’s easy to carry with you on the go and reapply as needed. Overall, a good value for a clean fragrance oil free of synthetic ingredients. Read more
