I guess I'm just not going to be happy until a new "Brain Age" game comes out! I'm a tad (a big tad) older than most DS users but asked for a DS a couple of years ago because I had used my son's and was immediately addicted! But I'm old and boring and enjoy the "brain games" but wanting a little variety from the "Brain Age 1 & 2" games, I purchased pretty much anything I could find that would challenge my old brain but this wasn't it. In defense of this game, it is after all for Grades 5 & 6 (yeah, yeah - we can all use a refresher!) and may be great for younger players but it just wasn't my "cup of tea". Read more
I got this game was on a special deal. Decided I had nothing to loose. It is great and I am sad to say I cannot just snap thru it. I do mostly brain games and have a desire to challenge my brain. Well this does just that. I'm 53 and I do not get all the answers right. What they learn in 6th grade now is like what I learned in 12th grade. If you get a chance to add it for a few bucks you will not be disappointed. It is fun in presentation and the questions are complicated. It's not babyish by any means. I am enjoying it. Once I master a game then I sell it back and let someone else enjoy it and I can get another challenge. Great for 5th grade and up...up to 99. LOL Have fun. Read more

I bought this for my daughter. She loves her Nintendo games. This is a game we like to play together. I bought it thinking it might help her with the Duke/Tip test she will be taking in a week...the Explorer Test (for 5th graders) and found it was REALLY a fun game (if you like learning trivia/facts). The questions are more 2 and 3rd grade material rather than 5 and 6. If your kid is even average in intelligence, buy the next level up. Read more
I purchased the Nintendo DS Brain Quest for grades 5 & 6 for my 4th grader daughter. She seems uninterested until I took it and started playing with it, with her next to me. I pretended not to know some of the answers and she took it from me. Look at me funny and started answering the questions. At first she said she wasn't a 5th grader, but I reminder her that things we learn at school isn't only for 4th graders. I use to buy the brain quest books for the summer and she would do a couple of pages, this game is great. She goes into different levels and she's having fun learning. I was hoping that she would do the english her lease favorite subject, and she enjoys the math and science. But, hoping that she will continue to play this game. I recommend this gift to any children not wanting to learn and those that enrich the learning process. Read more
It has been a good purchase. The whole family plays it. It is a lot like "Are you smarter than a 5th grader." It is a nice change from all the mindless games we have. Read more
